Sunshine and Smiles, Hivers! I'm excited to return with another blog post! In this blog, I will discuss our meeting agenda for the upcoming trip with my friends. This getaway will act as our reward for surviving the challenges of the academic year 2023-2024. Let’s dive in!
In June 2024, we held our meeting initially at But First , Coffee Cafe. We discovered this cafe through social media. My friends and I wanted to try out this cafe and also set an agenda for our reward getaway. During our discussion, we talked about our budget for the trip. We also inquired about various resorts in North Cebu since that's where we planned to go. One resort that we found appealing for unwinding with friends is Juban Garden Resort. As mentioned in my previous blog, I discussed the Juban Garden Resort, which is a lovely place to visit and really captured our attention, leading us to select it over other resorts.
We also discussed the food arrangements, deciding who would bring the main dishes, rice, and choose the drinks. It will either be our signature drink, the love potion (which we created during our bartending days), juice or soft drinks. Some of my friends volunteered to bring their own contribution as part of our getaway. We also agreed on a meeting time at the terminal to ensure we all arrive at the resort together. Additionally, we covered the duration of travel and the guidelines for our trip since the resort is quite far, requiring about a 3-hour journey, and there is no mobile signal. The rules we established include not overindulging in fun since we are not well-acquainted with the locals or the area. If we decide to drink, it will only be light drinks. We made it clear that we won’t be drinking to the point of passing out or losing control, as we still have a long journey back home.
A few of my friends designated who will be responsible for bringing the necessary items and what the dress code will be for our outing since we plan to take pictures there. We agreed to not stay overnight and skip getting a room because some of our friends' parents don't permit them to sleep over at places without their supervision. Some of us find it hard to sleep if they’re not in their own beds.
During our meeting, a few of my friends chose to order drinks and snacks at the café since it was nice to have something to eat and drink while we have a meeting, right? We also took pictures inside the café because its design is very aesthetically pleasing and inviting, which is why we enjoy this café as our meeting spot.
This kind of gathering resembles the strong connection I share with my friends. One of the keys to our wonderful friendship is exchanging ideas and supporting one another. We often meet at cafes, creating new memories and laughter. I believe some may view us as loud since we can be quite boisterous and humorous when we're together, and we sincerely apologize for our behavior. I truly appreciate having this type of friendship because throughout my school years, I never encountered a bond like this.
The meeting last for one hour, and we agreed to conclude it when it was time to return to campus since we have another class to attend.

We planned this getaway for the whole second semester since we needed relaxation from being burned out in academics. We thought this plan might be drawing again as same to our galas but some of my friends made sure to not make it drawing because we badly needed this getaway.

Drinking coffee with friends is the best especially with catch-up chikas.
That's true, one of our favorite activities is visiting different cafes and chatting about various topics. This allows us to bond a bit more with my friends.
How nice it is to be able to get together with our friends to enjoy their company, friends become family, blessings to all.
These friends of mine feel like family. This gathering serves as a small bonding for us to strengthen our friendship.
