Hello, everyone! This is Crissiacor, narrating to you a day of fun, food, and great company in my life.
It was followed by a very fulfilling but very sweaty basketball practice with friends and our coach. But what followed was when me and my girlfriend decided to go to the plaza to eat street foods here in the City of Naga, Cebu.
BALUT
The first stop was the balut vendor. For the uninitiated, balut is one of the classic Filipino street foods—an embryo-filled boiled duck egg. I and my girlfriend both like balut; she had four, and I could only finish three. We all were unanimous in the fact that the dip that came along with it was something that could be termed "awesome." We all were unanimous and agreed that that was a place that was worth reviewing, rating it 10/10 - would recommend this to everyone.
BUKO JUICE
Then, we tried to beat the heat by buying fresh buko juice. Fresh buko juice is said to be one of the most refreshing drinks one can find in the Philippines, even doing that on the spot from the fresh coconuts. It was so refreshing, and we rated it 9/10.
MANGOES WITH SWEET CORN CHEESE
Next came a mango vendor, and seeing that ripe mango was one other local delicacy, we got some of his with a unique sauce called Uyap for just 20 pesos each. Sitting down in the corner, we enjoyed the fruity snack before my girlfriend saw a vendor who sells sweet corn cheese.
The portion of the cheese might be so small, but it's a tasty treat. Im going to rate the mango with uyap 10/10, while for the sweet corn cheese, it gets 7/10.
MANGOES SHAKE AND TANGHULO
We arrived at the food court and ordered the mango shake. It was so lovely, and its sweetness was perfectly balanced. Couldn't give less than 10/10. And then we tried the tanghulo. There were quite sour strawberries, so we rated it 7/10.
As the sun went down, so was our food trip in the City of Naga, Cebu. What an experience indeed, one to be relished and remembered again and again in the years to come. From mouth-watering lechon to seafood, the city offers a diverse culinary adventure. The atmosphere was already charged with open, sense-of-community kind of magic. We left with memories for cherishing and promising to be back soon for another culinary delight. It was a celebration of life, friendship, and the joy of indulging in the simple pleasures that make life remarkable.
"In three words I can sum up everything I've learned about life: it goes on." - Robert Frost
Robert Frost's quote is a simple yet profound reminder that life keeps moving forward, regardless of the challenges or setbacks we face. It encourages us to persevere and find strength in knowing that life continues to unfold, offering new opportunities and experiences.
Thanks for dropping by, guys. If you do find it interesting, help me out with reblogging and upvoting. God bless!
Street food is the ultimate comfort food, reminding us that great flavors await at every corner.” – Alex Thompson
Your girlfriend really appreciates you. Imagine after your basketball training it must be tiring, but then you treat your girlfriend after that. So lovely of a boyfriend.
"Thanks for your kind words! Yes, training can be tiring but spending time with my girlfriend afterward makes it all worthwhile. I'm just doing my best to be a good girlfriend. Thanks again for your appreciation!"
You made me crave a balut @crissiacor. 😅 It's great to see you and your friends enjoying a day with foodies on the street. It made me miss the street foods in Danao City way back in time in college.
The balut craving are real now😁 HAAHAHAHA
