A lot of victorious news blasts inspire others, so it is fascinating to know that the fluttering atmosphere of wins we barely gained is bracing and invigorating. Through these media, a motivating reason reignites one's drive to help a dream come true, whether it be idealistically or realistically.
What a day to remember when a child wishes to have a life that resembles a favorite teacher in high school😊, who is not just an intellectual giant mentor but an active sports enthusiast; a reporter who anchors the news superbly due to his unique voice, so ridiculously imitated; an avid fan of Stephen Curry who ultimately has a wish to execute the identical basketball move or mimic Cocoo Martin's acting skills in Batang Quiapo is a sure proof that famous successful people in all forms of life are living a splendid life worthy of emulation because they are leaving marks of what it takes to be a victor in legacy, especially to kids and young people as well.
However, did you know that some of these men made untold sacrifices before becoming what they are today? Definitely, here are real stories from different people who made some sacrifices unknown to the public but are now featured on our platform, Hive, because of my perseverance to etch their names on it. However, few of them want their identities restricted. So some of these stories that I am about to unveil are purposely compliant with the owners' rules.
REAL STORIES OF UNTOLD SACRIFICES OF REAL PEOPLE
1.) A PROMISE
Mr. Shed, the youngest of the three siblings, was raised in an ordinary family. Situation was right then, until life was changed in a blink of an eye when his father went out of work due to health issues. Thus, school days became a pickle as well; they always resorted to eating mung beans soup in order to get through it. With a heart wrenching struggle his mom took over, assumed the responsibility as a breadwinner, and worked as household help despite her weak body.
Finally, with painstaking effort, he graduated from Electromechanical Technology at the Center for Industrial Technology and Enterprise in Talamban, Cebu, and landed a good job in Dash Engineering. As his way of paying back his parents, he sacrificially managed to get them out of financial constraint and provide them with a life of ease. On occasions, he was at the helm of offering support to his siblings too to the best that he could afford. Thus, he counted his own joy as his least concern. Such heart-melting discernment!
Moving on, while juggling work and small business, financial problems have risen, and inevitable pressures in life have emerged. Mr Shed suffered thumping sorrow and whimpered pathetically. But God's ways are unfathomable. To expedite the story, he was hired in Singapore and is now working for one of the eminent companies there. Lastly, upon reaching his dream of working abroad, there was a promise to himself and God, and that is to unbind someone from a P10,000 debt. Untold sacrifice leashed!
2.) A FAST
When a friend was faced with a life-and-death experience due to heart failure, behind the scenes, there's someone who, with all his heart, offered, behind closed doors, a daily prayer schedule and daily fast incessantly until the patient became well enough.
Someone does something sacrificially, without our knowledge, because they choose to lock up their feats from the eyes of many. We haven't the faintest idea that tremendous and immense deliverance from evil and misfortune transpires because there is someone whose name and sacrifice are intently gone unmentioned.
3.) A BREAD
I have known a family friend for a long time and have this inspiring, unforgettable story. The Mangoba couple, wanted for a complete education for their children in order to run off from being poverty-stricken and to have a promising future. Despite being subservient in social status, they endeavored diligently just to get their four children off to good school, to the point that they always dined together with their favorite fishhead. They used to consume the leftover fish head, as well as occasionally just a can of sardines blended with moringa soup ☺️.
Seriously, for seven years, they haven't eaten bread. They could smell it around the bakery store but couldn't find a penny to buy a single loaf.Though the air is filled with deliciously sweet, just baked bread, they painfully ignored it.
Well, to continue, Mr. Mangoba tried to vend rice gruel (binignit in bisaya) on the carbon market alternately with soap just to make ends meet. Unfortunately, sometimes his goods were not sold, so he initiated a way to have foodstuffs that day for his family to enjoy by bartering them to an essential seller. Such a genius, father!
That same scenario has been happening for a long time. Until, in the course of time, all the sacrifices and hard work paid off. To abbreviate the story, their two daughters are now working as residents in New Zealand, while two of their sons are now pastoring in Mandaue. Truly, sacrifice entails that there's honey in the rock.☺️
4.) A HELP
I have known Sungahid family since 2020. But let us first recall the tragic but marvelous story of the father of the family. He was a prematurely born child and died right upon delivery on June 4, 1981. Soon after, a neighbor fashioned him a modest coffin, barely big enough for a child. However, somebody suddenly announced that the baby was alive. They rushed in to the baby to check the surprising news. From there, their eyes were bulging as they saw a miracle. They began to pull out tiny ants on his body since he had been dead for many hours and insects were crawling on him.
Fortunately, he grew up as a normal kid of his age; however, due to poverty, he was not able to finish school and was compelled to help out his mom and siblings in order to survive because his father was a total savage. The vileness of this world was then a waking pill for his innocent soul. Enveloped in foreboding fear and ineluctable sadness, that was his life before. Despite being destitute in all forms, he managed to be generous with all that he could. Until a transformative faith encounter brought him into a magnificient hope of life and a divine purpose with his family.
This family appeared to be just regular people who we could hang out with and converse with. Although it initially seems unremarkable, as time passes, rarity becomes increasingly apparent for this family. In awe and amazement, they have the compassion to lend a hand without looking for a reciprocation. As if providing assistance were commonplace for them, it has been their real sense of vocation. This kind of generosity is quite gratifying to see. The pressed-down, shaken-together hundredfold blessings they receive out of the blue are what add up to these amazing people. Simply put, their family serves as a living illustration of the so-called "law of return".
Sacrifices are sacred if they spring from the sincerity of the heart, with or without the flash of a camera. Its avenue is painstaking, toilsome, a fix, agonous—not a piece of cake in short. Nevertheless, its spotlight breaks the dawn with a blissful burst in all hail at the climactic time. That makes sacrifice have power!
Enjoy reading everyone ☺️, until next time.
