Hello, Hive family and friends! I wish you all a happy weekend. I hope you are feeling great right now with your loved ones.
Our lives have been very busy lately. Facing a lot of challenges while doing important roles at the same time. But despite the trying times, we managed to experience happiness with true friends whom we considered family.
While we were busy preparing for something new for us to have a better future, one of the closest friends of my wife was about to embrace a new and challenging life journey. She's going to start a new teaching job in Las Vegas, Nevada. Zyrrel invited us to have a simple gathering at Paseo in Tabogon Town as her final farewell, as she already has a flight schedule.
It was raining, and I told my wife that it would be hard for us to arrive on time at the venue. When the rain stopped, we immediately went to the place, and we left the kids at home with their "Ate" Elay. When we arrived at the heart of the town, the heavy rain poured, and we stopped over at a bakeshop. They were already looking for us, so we proceeded to the venue, though it was still drizzling.
We arrived at the Paseo, and we thought they had already gone home because we arrived very late. But they only stayed in a corner so they wouldn't get wet from the rain. Zyrrel was so happy to see us. She's been so close to us and even helped us multiple times. She's so excited about her flight and sad at the same time since she will be far from her family and friends. I told her that it was for the benefit of her kids and family. She needs to overcome all the trials and challenges in her new workplace.
John Juan BBQ
Pork Bbq, only a piece in the pic but I ate 3 pcs. of it that time. 😅
Fish soup. It was perfect since it was raining.
They ordered barbecue dishes and a soup for everyone. As we waited for the orders to be served, we talked a lot about the future plans of other teachers in their school. They even told my wife that if she did submit her application, she probably had the same chance as Zyrrel and their other workmate, Ma'am Divine, because it was the three of them who planned to apply abroad. I responded to them by saying that maybe it's not meant for us. They have other workmates applying to teach abroad and waiting for the principal interview for the next school year.
We extended our best wishes for Zyrrel and gave some points on how she will manage herself because she's not used to being far from her family. There were times she asked us to come to the city to help her process some documents needed for her application abroad. We did not refuse to help her, for she had helped us a lot every time we needed her. She's more than a friend to my wife; she's like a sister, and they always offer a shoulder to lean on.
Others were not able to come due to some reasons.
Ready to eat. 😅
When the foods were served, we blessed them and had our dinner. The barbecue and the soup were delicious. We were very thankful to Zyrrel for everything until the time she needed to bid farewell to all of us. Right now, she's in her adjustment period in Las Vegas, Nevada. She was so happy that her salary was raised above her expectations. We hope that she can go along with her new work environment and achieve her goals for her family.
Genuine friendship lasts.
I took them a photo that they will forever cherish. When they decided to go home, we stayed late with Ma'am Marne and Ma'am Yeyen. We talked about our problems and the root cause of our hardest situation. They listened and gave us words of encouragement to continue journeying through this life. It was indeed a great night with friends. We were very happy for Zyrrel, and we were looking forward to more fruitful years ahead of all of us.
Photos are all mine unless stated otherwise.
Congrats to to madam Zyrrel, it's sad na sa ibang bansa talaga magkaka chance na umasenso, aigooo. But, thats life, i hope makaya nya ang homesickness. And good luck to her.
Anyways the dish y'all eat looks really delicious, kakamiss mag BBQ. Meron nito sa kanto kaso super dry, pero keri na rin. Lol. Makabili nga later.
I think she can adjust naman. Strong kasi siya because of what she had been through. Pero di naman talaga madali mag adjust. We'll pray for strength that she can endure everything.
Hahaha natawa ako sa dry bbq. Sana may suggestion box din sila para maimprove naman sila. 😅
How great to be able to count on people like that, close to you, with whom you can talk and open up, without any hesitation.
Oh, soup. Yummy.
I hope your friend is very brave because change is not easy but she will surely reap many rewards in the long run.
You are right, my friend. They are the ones with whom we can share our problems. Though they have their own problems too, they always lend a hand to help us.
We hope that she can adjust as soon as possible. We believe in her capacity to live on her own at the moment. One day, her husband and kids will follow her there.
