Hola amigos, durante mi estadía en Maturín, tuve la oportunidad de visitar con mi familia algunos de los sitios de recreación de la ciudad; uno de ellos es el parque La Guaricha. Es la primera vez que lo visito y me impresionó lo grande y bien conservado que está el parque, así como la diversidad de animales que encontramos allí, aunque algunos están en riesgo de extinción. También cuenta con un parque ecológico para el disfrute de los niños; allí encontramos puestos de helados, venta de dulces y mucho más.
Hello friends, during my stay in Maturin, I had the opportunity to visit with my family some of the recreational sites of the city; one of them is the park La Guaricha. It is the first time I visit it and I was impressed by how big and well preserved the park is, as well as the diversity of animals that we found there, even though some are at risk of extinction. It also has an ecological park for the enjoyment of children; there we found ice cream stands, selling candy and much more.
Esta salida se nos dio sin mucha planificación, ya que aprovechamos la oportunidad de entrar porque estábamos cerca del lugar. Para entrar tuvimos que pagar 30 bolívares por persona y los niños entran gratis. Durante mi recorrido por este extraordinario parque, me di cuenta que tienen espacios bien distribuidos, y cada vez que caminaba, me fascinaban las diferentes especies de animales que allí se encuentran.
This outing was given to us without much planning, as we took advantage of the opportunity to enter because we were close to the place. To enter we had to pay 30 bolivars per person and children are free. During my tour of this extraordinary park, I realized that they have well distributed spaces, and every time I walked, I was fascinated by the different species of animals found there.
Me impresionó observar los guacamayos, tucanes y otras especies de aves. Es realmente espectacular pasear por este sitio, observar a los monos en sus jaulas saltando; son tan graciosos y cómicos, aunque les tengo cierto miedo. Además, observé tigres, que me causaron un poco de miedo, pero estaban bien enjaulados. También encontramos ciervos, cabras, puercoespines, conejos, loros, gavilanes, tortugas de agua, entre otros, todos bien cuidados y protegidos.
I was impressed to observe the macaws, toucans and other bird species. It is really spectacular to walk around this site, watch the monkeys in their cages jumping; they are so funny and comical, although I have a certain fear of them. In addition, I observed tigers, which caused me a little fear, but they were well caged. We also found deer, goats, porcupines, rabbits, parrots, sparrow hawks, water turtles, among others, all well cared for and protected.
Una cosa que me llamó la atención fue ver la escultura de un gran león, y cuenta la historia que este león, conocido por el nombre de Casimiro, tenía muchos años viviendo en este lugar. Dicen que era el animal más viejo del lugar y murió a causa de la vejez y la enfermedad. Este león murió el 20 de junio de 2009, siendo enterrado en el mismo parque y se le dedicó esa escultura en su honor.
One thing that caught my attention was to see the sculpture of a large lion, and the story goes that this lion, known by the name of Casimiro, had been living in this place for many years. It is said that he was the oldest animal in the place and died of old age and illness. This lion died on June 20, 2009, being buried in the same park and this sculpture was dedicated in his honor.

It is really worth going out with the family to these places, since we can enjoy nature and the diversity of animals found there.
Sharing with the family is beneficial, because it makes us feel happy and excited, thus strengthening the bonds of love and friendship with all family members. A crucial aspect is that those moments become unforgettable and leave such a sweet taste in our memory, that when we see those photographs of those moments, they evoke us as if we were remembering them.
