GANAS/SIBOG is a Filipino tradition in which the girl or his wife will be brought to the husband's house. Another guest on the man's side may be invited for another salo2x or meal. Last weekend, it was Sunday, and we were invited by my friend to the GANAS/SIBOG of her son who had just got married last December 28, 2023, in Zamboanga, Philippines. Supposedly I would be coming with them to Zamboanga during her Son's wedding but because all shipping for Zamboanga that month was fully booked, I was not able to travel and attend their wedding. Aside from that my companion in going there got sick. So, what we did was we just sent our fare of traveling to Zamboanga as our gift or share for her son's wedding.
Last Sunday we were invited by our friends in BCBP to attend the GANAS or SIBOG.
The event was held at San Remigio Cultural Center and Leisure located at San Remigio, Cebu. This is one of the most popular venues in town for various occasions since they offer an affordable and delicious menu have very accommodating personnel and offer the best service to their clients.
Most of the guests present were relatives from the boy's side or relatives of both my couple's friend and the BCBP family. We had our lunch at exactly noon. After our lunch was the short program. The couple had their wedding dance and after that was the giving of messages and sharing of the best ingredients of a happy marriage. Then the couple shared also their message and extended their words of gratitude to all guests present and witnessed their wedding even if it's only a video. After which was the serenade performed by several guests. Before the program ended the parents also gave their message to their son and extended their words of gratitude to all who were present and joined their celebration.
After the program, their guests had a chance to enjoy by singing the video k and while others were dancing joyfully and gracefully on the dance floor. We, the BCBP family enjoyed a lot in singing and dancing, together with the other guests and the newlywed. We were so thankful that the family invited us to celebrate one of the most significant events in their lives and the family as well
After having the singing and dancing session my Ates asked me to capture a photo as they took a pose or had their fashion show wearing their skirts and bags coming from Zamboanga. We had so much fun walking on the seashore as I captured them from different angles.
After having our bonding and shooting moments, we continued singing and dancing until it was time to go home and depart each other. Before we go home my youngest child wanted to have her photoshoot too. So we took a little tour around the venue and took our pictures.
Lastly were so thankful for the invitation and truly proud that we are part of their momentus event. To the newlywed couple, welcome to a world of mixed emotions. To all marriages here take these ingredients to be successful and productive marriage journey. These ingredients are love, respect, forgiveness, and God as the center of your family. Congratulations and God be the highest glory.
