Practical Class

In the morning I woke up fresh and prepared to go to class. Today we had practical class. After all the friends attended the class together, our teacher explained to us all the materials needed to conduct the practical class. Then we started our work accordingly. Let me start by saying that along with my blog, I have also uploaded videos of Dice and Chemicals and Practicals on my YouTube channel. Hope you all will watch.
Today was our second practical. Today we had practical subject, combined scouring and bleaching of cotton dyed fabric. Through this process we can learn how to whiten cotton fabric and remove oil, grease and wax from it.At the beginning I have provided you with a list of all the materials you will need for this process. It lists the amount of dyes and chemicals required for how many grams of fabric and how long the process will take. Accordingly we started working.
First we weight the cloth and put it in a bath with chemicals as per the list. Then we started giving hits. Once we reach 100 degrees Celsius, our work will be over. For that our estimated time will be around one hour. We will measure the pH periodically along with our work. You can already see some of the pH measurements in the pictures I took. Our ph should be in the range of 11.5- (+-).5.
Then after a while we see if the reaction is correct. After rising to 100°C temperature we executed and presented it to Sir. He informed us if our work was done properly and we later took one sample to submit it in writing to sir.
This was the best moment I spent today with my friends and learned the process of scouring and bleaching cotton fabric through the practical class. We are all very happy with the work done by hand.
