Y siempre en estos desfiles uno comparte con colegas y personas que aún sin saber
o recordar los nombres, disfrutan al igual que uno del recorrido que año tras a año, se realiza en las principales calles y avenidas de mi pueblo. Mascarada Portuguesa, tiene casi 50 años en los 14 municipios del estado, todo nació acá en Guanare y se extendió para ser reconocido por su lema: "Quien lo vive es que lo goza" para ser una de las atracciones turísticas por excelencia de la región y por destacarse en ser también uno de los mejores carnavales de Venezuela. Compartimos este recorrido con diversas comparsas, de las cuales podemos nombrar la comparsa de "Las Burriquitas de Ospino" Un baile tradicional, patrimonio cultural de Venezuela, en el cual hombres y mujeres de diversas edades, bailan alegremente, ataviados con alegorías de las nobles "burras" las cuales además de patear, bailan en ritmo y celebran también la actividad carnestolenda...

Además se presentan "Las Madamas de Guanare" Un grupo de mujeres que visten trajes coloridos y con su entusiasmo, exaltan la belleza y lucha de la mujer guanareña. Demás está decir, que esta manifestación tiene más de una década haciendo presencia en nuestro carnaval y muchas de las que allí están son mujeres amigas del arte y amigas nuestras también...

De esta forma, concluimos con el recorrido del grito de carnaval, puesto que dentro de 15 días, disfrutaremos de comparsas, disfraces y carrozas y esto apenas es un abreboca de lo que se viene en este 2025. Carnaval no solo es el carnaval, el carnaval es la oportunidad de celebrar que estamos vivos y estamos felices, en un mundo en el cual estas palabras suenan a utopía pero que en esta fiesta son una realidad.
