La semana pasada la esposa de mi tío regresó de colombia y vino a visitarnos.
Erlinda es una mujer bastante familiar, cariñosa y muy amable. Le encanta visitarnos frecuentemente y prepararnos postres.
Cuando viene, ayuda a mi mamá con el almuerzo y siempre se hacen planes para futuras visitas o quehaceres.
Esta vez como venía de colombia, nos sorprendió con regalitos y presentes. Yo valoro mucho cuando las personas me tienen en cuenta en sus viajes y deciden obsequiarme algo por muy sencillo que sea.
Cuando llegué a casa de mi abuela los saludé con mucho cariño, mi abuela preparaba el desayuno así que llegué justo cuando lo estaban sirviendo.

Last week my uncle's wife returned from Colombia and came to visit us.
Erlinda is a very family oriented, loving and kind woman. She loves to visit us frequently and cook desserts for us.
When she comes, she helps my mom with lunch and plans are always made for future visits or chores.
This time, since she came from Colombia, she surprised us with gifts and presents. I really appreciate it when people take me into account in their travels and decide to give me a gift, no matter how simple it may be.
When I arrived at my grandmother's house I greeted them warmly, my grandmother was preparing breakfast so I arrived just as it was being served.
Desayunamos mientras conversábamos sobre su estadía en Colombia. Erlinda había viajado ya que su hija vive allá y estaba embarazada, obviamente ella como madre quería ir y acompañar a su hija en este proceso y conocer a su nieta.
Mi tío no la acompañó y ella nos comentaba que lo había encontrado mucho más delgado.
Luego de desayunar me entregó mi presente, eran unos aretes, un ''Chocoramo'' y me dio risa cuando lo vi por un video viejo que circulaba en facebook donde un una persona decía de manera muy graciosa ''es un chocoramiito'', el regalo también incluía un labial, una bolsa de gomitas y una sal con paprika. Sentí bonito cuando vi la Sal con Paprika porque yo le dije cuando se fue que si veía paprika me trajera un sobre pequeño porque yo amo cocinar con eso y pues, trajo una enorme bolsa.
We had breakfast while we talked about her stay in Colombia. Erlinda had traveled since her daughter lives there and was pregnant, obviously she as a mother wanted to go and accompany her daughter in this process and meet her granddaughter.
My uncle did not accompany her and she commented that she had found him much thinner.
After breakfast she gave me my present, they were earrings, a ''Chocoramo'' and I laughed when I saw an old video that was circulating on facebook where a person said in a very funny way ''it's a chocoramiito'', the gift also included a lipstick, a bag of gummies and a salt with paprika. I felt nice when I saw the salt with paprika because I told him when he left that if he saw paprika he should bring me a small envelope because I love to cook with it and well, he brought a huge bag.
La tarde se nos fue conversando y recordando momentos de la infancia, entre risas le contábamos a Erlinda momentos que nos tocó vivir cuando todos los primos estábamos más niños.
A mi me encanta recordar estos momentos y reír de las locuras que llegamos a hacer en ese tiempo y de lo lejos que podía llegar nuestra imaginación.
De tanto conversar llegó la hora del almuerzo, mi mamá cocinó un arroz negro con pollo y salchichas y mi tío compró una Coca-Cola para acompañar.
Erlinda ayudó a servir los platos de comida y yo los refrescos y nos reunimos en la mesa del comedor a comer en familia.
La comida estaba deliciosa.
The afternoon was spent talking and remembering moments of our childhood, while laughing we told Erlinda about moments that we lived through when all of us cousins were younger.
I love to remember these moments and laugh at the crazy things we did at that time and how far our imagination could go.
After so much talking it was time for lunch, my mom cooked black rice with chicken and sausages and my uncle bought a Coca-Cola to go with it.
Erlinda helped serve the plates of food and I helped serve the soft drinks and we gathered at the dining room table to eat as a family.
The food was delicious.
Después del almuerzo nos tocó cortar la torta que Erlinda trajo. Nos dijo que la había hecho porque no pudo estar en el cumpleaños de mi mamá ni en el de mi abuela, así que cantamos un corto cumpleaños y Erlinda repartió los trozos.
La torta estaba increíble, la rellenó con crema chantilly y trozos de maní. La cubierta era de chantily con un sabor a mantecado divino.
Me comentó que quería vender torta en porciones y le dije que lo único que necesitaba eran ganas porque el sabor estaba delicioso. Acordamos reunirnos otro día para ayudarla a planificar todo.
After lunch it was our turn to cut the cake that Erlinda brought. She told us she had made it because she couldn't be at my mom's birthday or my grandmother's, so we sang a short birthday song and Erlinda handed out the pieces.
The cake was amazing, she filled it with whipped cream and peanut pieces. The topping was chantily with a divine buttery flavor.
She told me that she wanted to sell cake in slices and I told her that all she needed was the desire because the flavor was delicious. We agreed to meet another day to help her plan everything.
El ambiente se comenzó a nublar y fue cuando mi tío tomó la decisión de irse para evitar que lloviera y les cayera la lluvia en el camino.
Ellos también venían con intención de llevarse una gatita, hija de la gata de mi mamá. Mi abuela y mi mamá comenzaron a despedirse de la gatita y me dio un poco de risa el sentimiento que les generó esto, porque ellas sabían que la gatita se iba a marchar.
Así terminó nuestro día, la pasamos muy bien en familia y aún seguimos comiendo de esa deliciosa torta.

The atmosphere began to cloud over and that was when my uncle made the decision to leave to avoid the rain on the way.
They also came with the intention of taking a kitten, the daughter of my mother's cat. My grandmother and my mom started to say goodbye to the kitten and I laughed a little at the feeling this gave them, because they knew the kitten was going to leave.
That's how our day ended, we had a great time as a family and we are still eating that delicious cake.
