Good day fellow Hivers! Another blog made by @elshgrce showcasing the eventful day of the Psychies in Cebu Roosevelt Memorial Colleges.
A day in my life as we celebrate our victory during the Founder's Event! A very successful event for us Psych Students as we effortlessly show our talents and skills which made our consistent efforts bloom into a wonderful winning streak. It was a sunny day together with the right set of people, celebrating a huge achievement. We celebrated our victory in Caritas, a beach located in San Remigio, Cebu.
It was really such a big achievement for the Psychology Department since way back before, the department was really criticize and was looked down by other departments. Since it lacks in manpower unlike other departments, it doesn't have enough power and money to have give an extravagant effort for such big events in the school. Students, Teachers and our Dean had a hard time catching up to the other Departments since the students enrolled before was less than 100.
But now, look at what we have accomplished for the department. We have won and placed in every categories except Bench Yell and had the most winnings for this year's Founders Day. All of our sleepless nights, undying efforts for the preparation, practices and as well as during the event was all worth it. Among all of the Departments, even if we have the smallest population like around 277 students, we thrive and fought for our success.
The event started on Lunch Time, therefore we started our event with eating. The Officers were the ones that helped with the distribution of the food and to maintain the order of the event. It was actually joked by my co-officer that we should start a business in Catering called APS (Alliance of Psychology Students) Catering Services since we were like them anyways. But other than that, it all went smoothly with the games and everything in our program.
The games consist of Ice Wars in where female students need to melt the ice with the male students holding the said ice. It was really chaotic in real life and everyone cheered which made the game even more fun. All of the Psych Students was really cooperative which made our job easier.
At the end of the small program, our President actually approached me and said really touching message. He said that he was thankful for my efforts and how I am a responsible officer. Truth to be told, it made my heart melt and I was really touched by what he said that time.
After the program, we just enjoyed the day with talking, taking group pictures, swimming and more. Sadly, I didn't have any solo pictures but that's okay since I enjoyed this day. It was a great time to unwind all the stress during Founder's and it was a day to be remembered.
On our Rest and Recreation day, it was really fun and memorable for me as an Officer. I really appreciate all people who helped us and was there if we needed help. Also to my dear Co-Officers, I am really thankful that I am part of this Organization since I learned a lot from them and to the experiences.
