BLOG 16: Denim & Diamonds: A Sparkling Year-End Celebration

image.png

Christmas is truly in the air. There is a sense of excitement and relaxation in every corner of home or in the company we work. As streets and homes are decked out with sparkly decorations, festive wreaths, and shimmering lights, the aroma of cinnamon and pine permeates the air. The warmth of spending time with loved ones, the joy of giving, and the sound of carolers singing all contribute to the season's unique magic. As families prepare for festivities and spend time together, people's hearts appear to expand a bit wider and the spirit of goodwill spreads. Everyone is reminded that this is a moment to stop, think, and enjoy the joy that Christmas offers, as the warmth of anticipation softens the chill in the air.

Hello everyone! Welcome again to my weekly blog. For today's post, I wanted to share my first experience attending the company’s annual year-end party. It was a blast, filled with smiles and fun, alongside all the staff, and especially our very own Japanese supervisors who attended the event.

Our annual year-end party was held on December 15, 2024, at IC3 Treasures Hall, with the theme "Denim and Diamonds." When I arrived at the event, the stage design was stunning, and the entrance aisle had a simple yet elegant aura. However, the setup for the tables and chairs was not as impressive, and unfortunately, the catering team set up the tables very late. As a result, some of the teaching staff had to stand while waiting for the tables and chairs to be arranged. Anyway, the OSH Team personnel, including us, were assigned as ushers and usherettes for the event. The boys in our team were assigned to the food area, while the girls were responsible for welcoming the guests and workers.

This is our very own low-key and supportive President/CEO of Bridge Culture Inc. He is a pure Japanese citizen with a Filipino heart. Before the program started, he took the time to roam around and visit every table, asking the employees if they were doing well and complimenting how stunning they looked that night. The CEO is very welcoming to everyone, and it’s worth noting that he has a humble and simple aura. He’s someone we can approach at any time without feeling intimidated.

This is our very gorgeous and stunning Japanese Supervisor in Human Relations and Health and Safety. She is a pure Japanese with a Filipino heart. She recently visited Bridge Culture Inc. last December 3, 2024, just in time to attend the party. She is a very pretty and demure Japanese woman. Employees at Bridge Culture Inc. often see her because she is based in Japan. Whenever we have meetings with her, we usually use Google Meet or Zoom.

Lastly, our Supervisor in the Operations Department is pure Japanese and office-based. He is a handsome yet intimidating person. He used to work here in the office, and he is the one who signs the undertimes and pre- and post-leaves of the employees. The teaching personnel often feel butterflies and are intimidated by his aura and striking looks. He is a very neat and good-looking Japanese man, but we often see him smiling in the admin office, because he is very serious about his work.

I am very happy because I am back to my element of dancing and choreographing. During our party, the OSH Team was tasked with performing something. Despite having different work schedules and no designated area to practice, we managed to nail the performance on stage. I am extremely proud and happy with my team because they gave their best, even though some of them had stage fright and others didn’t have any dance experience.

Outfit Check!

My outfit last night was all from a thrift shop, or "ukay-ukay." The denim pants were ₱280, and the glittering top was just ₱40. I even DIY-ed the neck part to add a little design. The butterfly clips were from Shein for ₱54, and the necklace bundle was from Mr. DIY for ₱45. My sandals were borrowed from my mother, and the earrings were bought on Colon Street for ₱100. In total, for less than ₱500, I had a simple yet elegant outfit. I styled my hair and did my makeup, except for my eyebrows, which I had someone else do for me, I paid her ₱100.

The exciting part of the event was the raffle draw, where we had a lot of amazing items and appliances up for grabs. I had been manifesting winning the 2-door refrigerator, and guess what, I was picked in the raffle! However, I won a luggage instead. Even though it wasn’t what I expected, I’m still happy because the luggage isn’t bad at all. This means that in 2025, I will be manifesting more travel ahead!

Last night was a blast! Despite some circumstances, the show must go on. I can’t believe the year-end party was such a wonderful gift from the company, giving every employee an unforgettable experience. From the start of the program to the raffle draw, it was a great time. I even tried the Snap 360 camera shot, which I loved the most! Unfortunately, I didn’t get the chance to experience the photo booth because there was a long line, but I did manage to take some pictures on my phone to have a remembrance of this amazing event.

Of course, the OSH Team girls looked stunning and gorgeous in our simple yet very elegant outfits at this year-end party. Everything you see was a product of DIY and Pinterest-inspired looks and outfits. We were very happy to have the opportunity to join the party and sit at the VIP table together with the OSH Team Department. It was truly heartwarming when people appreciated us and our looks last night.

I went straight home after the event, and here's my after-party look! I am so happy with the outcome of my DIY makeup and hairstyle. I'm really proud of myself for achieving this fabulous look, and honestly, it’s my favorite look so far.

It was a very lovely experience to attend the company's year-end celebration. It was a great chance to get together with coworkers, commemorate the accomplishments of the previous year, and enjoy the festive season. It felt like a special event because of the loud music, the celebratory atmosphere, and the exquisite décor. It was about building relationships, making memories, and expressing gratitude for everyone's hard work in addition to the enjoyment and entertainment. We were able to engage with coworkers, relax, and decompress in a way that isn't feasible during the typical workday thanks to the event. I felt appreciated to be a part of such a significant celebration, and it served as a reminder of how wonderful it is to be a member of such a supportive and thriving company. Advance Merry Christmas and Dashing Happy New Year Everyone!

Thank you so much Bridge Culture Inc.🤞💙
