Those moments often left me wondering, "Why don't I have my own circle of friends? Am I a not a good person?” I just love the idea of having a solid friendship. I craved that kind of bond in which even though you're no longer in the same class or school, you know you can still trust them, you're comfortable with them, and you continue to make happy memories together. A group who'd stick around through thick and thin.
I feel that I deserve to experience that too. Not just scrolling through social media and watching other people happy and enjoying themselves with their circle of friends. I longed for those moments of laughter, bonding, and savoring every moment while being together. I deserve that too.
But who would have thought that as I go to college, it would bring me exactly what I wished for? I met people who seemed to be God-sent to make my college journey bearable—my college classmates. It feels so good that almost all my classmates are close to me, and together we make memories that are really worth treasuring.
In college, I already had my own circle of friends, we have many memories and bonding moments that will not be forgotten. We laughed, shared stories, and made numerous unforgettable moments. But like any journey, there were also obstacles. I can't say that my college life was perfect—because it really wasn't, let's be real, nothing ever is.
There are times when I get tired too and one of the saddest things that happened was when some of my classmates transferred to other schools for personal reasons. One of those who transferred is one of my closest friends.
It was tough, I can say that these people I met have been a huge part of my college. They are the reason that makes each day more happy and colorful, even if there are challenges and sadness to face.
As the days passed, I learned to accept the change and value the friendship that we still had. I am also happy for my friend because she is more comfortable in the school she chose now. Even though we are far and both busy with our own lives, we still find a way to talk in a group chat or plan a meeting.
Until a day came when our old classmate and friend planned a reunion with our little group. We decided to meet at SM Consolacion and watch a trending horror movie at SM Cinema. Three of us agreed immediately because we miss her too. Also, we rarely get this opportunity because most of our friends are very busy at that time.
I can't contain my excitement. It's been a year since I last saw her in person, so I'm very happy to see her again. Besides that, it was my first time to go to SM Cinema so I was very curious about how it felt, especially with people close to my heart.
The day came when my friends and I would meet at SM Cinema. But before we went straight there, we roamed around SM and took pictures. Also, we never missed an opportunity to go to the arcade to play. Our area was full of laughter and fun as we enjoyed playing. It felt so great to have these simple, fun moments.
After playing happily, we bought tickets for the movie.
A few minutes later, we headed inside the cinema. Since it was my first time to going here, I was blown away by how massive the screen was. It felt like it could swallow us whole.
The horror movie has started and the scenes are very scary! Because of the size of the screen, it felt like we were inside the movie itself and the huge screen makes every jump scare feel real. In the middle of the fear, we were also full of laughter. They're really fun to be with, there was just as much laughter as there were screams.
This day was so special to me. Not only because it was my first time watching at SM Cinema, but it was also special because I got the chance to go on a date with my friends. We were even reunited with a friend we hadn't seen in a long time. It was also an opportunity to find out how her life at the new school is going. When I'm with my friends, all my problems seem to disappear. Being with them felt like a magic, their presence somehow erase the heaviness of the world, all my worries suddenly disappears and it's replaced by genuine joy and laughter. This day was definitely one of those days I'll never forget, the laughter, conversation, and company—it was truly wonderful to remember.
After watching the movie, we decided to go to Orange Brutus for lunch since we haven't had lunch yet. This is definitely one of my favorite restaurants because of their affordable yet delicious meals. While eating, I noticed a timeline on their wall showing the history of the restaurant with photographs showing how Orange Brutus started. That's when I learned that it started in Cebu back in 1980. As a history enthusiast, I really enjoyed reading about its beginnings and how it became a well-loved restaurant. It's just interesting to know how a successful restaurant started and how it won the hearts of many people. For me, it is important to go back to the past to better understand and appreciate the present world. I realized the importance of knowing the history of places or things that gives color to our time today.
Our lunch was filled with laughter and meaningful conversations. We talked about life, our college experiences, and our future plans. Afterwards, we said our goodbyes and went home. On the way home, I couldn't stop smiling because I really enjoyed that day. I was happy to be with them and reunite with our former classmate, especially since it has been a year since we last met. Apart from that, I also enjoyed my first Cinema experience. I would definitely hold these moments close to my heart.
How about you, Hivers, do you have friends too? My only advice with y'all is to treasure moments like these. Life gets busier as we grow older, whether it's with school or work. Thus, we must treasure the times we spend with our friends. Value friendships, laugh, bond, and make each day with them special.
That's all for today's blog, everyone. I'd really appreciate it if you could upvote, comment, and share my blog. Thank you so much, Hivers and have a fabulous day ahead!

How I miss having a cinema date with my girl friends 🥺.
cinema dates with friends are the best, you should definitely try to make it happen soon @nanaspeaks
Hello I loved reading you, I feel identified, I am very little conversationalist, but that has not been complicated at all, as not to have friends. Generally when you go through these school stages, you meet many classmates who in the end become friends and even siblings even if they are not of our own blood. I hope you are always surrounded by good people and that you have a nice week.
thanks a lot for these kind words @eduardo900613, much appreciated
