In December 2023, my classmates and I agreed to celebrate a year-end party outside the campus. We also wanted to enjoy ourselves and try something different, so we thought of having a party at a resort. One of my classmates suggested that we should go to Tuburan Sur Mountain Resort located in Brgy. Tuburan Sur, Danao City, Cebu . There are so many beautiful places in Cebu, but this mountain resort is perfect for a weekend getaway with family and friends, or for a special occasion. Honestly, I'm glad we chose this because when we arrived, I didn't expect this resort to be so massive! Additionally, it's just near the heart of Danao City, so it's very accessible. The best part? Beautiful scenery surrounded by green surroundings, and budget-friendly too!
Plus, there is also a kiddie pool for children with a slide and an umbrella fountain, so the whole family will surely enjoy here.
When we arrived at the resort, we were lucky because one of my classmates and her boyfriend paid for our cottage. We are very grateful to them for their kindness. Then, we put our things in the cottage, set the food on the table, and hung the tarpapel with "Year-End Party" printed on it along with our class picture.
Fortunately, a classmate of mine brought a speaker and microphone, so we all did karaoke. And guess what? It was an instant party! I smile as I watch them—some were singing, others were dancing, and the rest were just laughing. That moment was very important for me because all my worries just disappeared in an instant. At that time, all I could think about was nothing but pure happiness.
After singing, we walked around the resort and took many pictures. The place is so stunning, the resort is huge and every corner is picture-perfect.l I also noticed that the resort has a function hall which is ideal for events and parties.
After picture-taking, we returned to the cottage to eat lunch. There's a lot of food on the table, so there's a lot of choices. While eating, the cottage was filled with laughter as we talked about our experiences before. It feels so relaxing. At that time, I remembered my difficult experiences in high school. Before, I always felt like I was an "option friend." I am the last to be chosen for group activities or by-pair tasks. It made me feel left out. But, my college classmates now are totally different. They always made me feel included and valued. They helped me come out of my shell and regain my confidence.
After eating our lunch, we went straight to the pool and went swimming. We prepared various games that brought a lot of fun to the group. There was a lot of laughter, so even though we were tired, that day was memorable and will stay in my heart forever.
As the sun began to set, we decided to go home. But, the fun and memories of that year-end party will always remain in my heart. I realized that the greatest gift isn't the material things but the people who light up your life, even during darkest times. With them, I learned to laugh more and enjoy life to the fullest.

That's a fun year end party, and it's in the resort with big pretty pool. When it comes to party, maganda din talagang lugar ang mga resort no. I can't remember the last time I had this kind of party, college pa ata ako non. With my classmates 🤧😆😆
