Life gets exciting when we do it for the first time! We meet new people literally and not just only people but your blood people. :)
Good evening hive friends! I would like to express my excitement and worrysome for our First Grand Family Reunion happened last January 12, 2025. It was also the birthday of my friend @fixyetbroken and Tiyo Ed. I was not able to greet them on that day but in my mind I do remember their birthday!
Last Sunday, everyone was excited to meet their cousins and great cousins most especially the daughters of our grandparents that they were the ones who knows them personally.
I never met them in my childhood though. I just met them last Sunday personally. I'm glad that they really took the time and effort to travel from San Carlos City to Cebu just to attend the said reunion.
Days before the reunion, we were worried if the venue is large enough to cater us all most especially our relatives from San Carlos. The day of the reunion came and the venue was nice and presentable also because of the table skirting that made it looked elegant and presentable.
The venue was okay but the space of the venue made us worry for our relatives because in my Lolo's clan we are already huge family in numbers and we already know that the space was not enough for us all plus the offsprings of our Lolo's siblings. It was carried out successfully! Thank yiu Lord! :) However, we did not have the opportunity to really glance all our relatives at once because of the limited space.
The program had started when every family was already in the venue. We can say that they also prepared for this encounter because they really had the uniform most especially the four sisters. They wore the same white clothing. They jokingly said that they have a "cult" because of the uniform. They represented the White Team.
The red was present also with Lolo M. Lolo M was one of the living child of of our grandfather. By the way, they are nine siblings. There were three living children namely: Lolo M (the youngest) Lola Bebe (the youngest daughter) and Lolo Efren (I forgot the sequence. There were also blue team. I won't mention all because I forgot all the other colors. Our family was peach. We ordered shirt for this gathering also.
I observed that we are the biggest number of offsprings in this clan. We had a second batch for picture perfect opportunity. The living children of our lolo with the representatives of each family together with all girls and boys. The space was limited to cater us all. However, we are beyond grateful that this grand alumni took place in Cordorva, Cebu at the house of my auntie Maring that our relatives who traveled that far may go upstairs and rest for a long travel.
The owner of these images was my cousin. I just downloaded it and post it in my account in facebook.
Another to be grateful for that fellowship was our dear Tiyo Tomjone discharged from the hospital that day and was able to attend the said event even if Tiyo needs an assistance in walking and standing. We are very hrateful and blissful to see Tiyo T.
The best part of the program was the introduction of the family of families. The best parf of having a family outside in our own town that we can go openly to their home openly when by chance you are on their place. We can ask for help or do the reverse for them.
Life is truly a gift. We need to take care of ourselves as the best gift we could give to our selves.
