A well-deserved respite
(Part I)
Hola a todos mis queridos Hivers, siempre es placer estar en contacto con ustedes por esta plataforma. Hoy quiero compartirles una experiencia muy reconfortante y que nos llenó de mucha alegría como familia. Ya les había comentado que hemos pasado momentos muy difíciles, pero estamos dispuestos a renovar energías, cobrar ánimo, ya que la vida continúa y él que se rinde pierde.
Hello to all my dear Hivers, it is always a pleasure to be in contact with you through this platform. Today I want to share with you a very comforting experience that filled us with a lot of joy as a family. I had already told you that we have gone through very difficult times, but we are ready to renew our energies, to gain courage, because life goes on and he who gives up loses.
Hace unos días atrás recibimos la invitación de un matrimonio amigo para ir a su casa que queda en Río Cocollar, la idea nos entusiasmó pues iríamos un grupo grande conformado por varias familias. Se nos ofreció la comodidad del transporte, solo debíamos llevar algunos alimentos para el consumo durante la estadía. Lamentablemente no todos los invitados pudieron ir por razones personales, pero igual hicimos los arreglos pertinentes y emprendimos el viaje el día sábado en la tarde. La hora de salida estaba pautada para las 2pm. terminamos saliendo a las 4 pm.
A few days ago we received an invitation from a married couple friend to go to their house in Rio Cocollar, the idea excited us because we would go as a large group of several families. We were offered the convenience of transportation, we only had to bring some food for consumption during the stay. Unfortunately not all the guests were able to go for personal reasons, but we still made the necessary arrangements and started the trip on Saturday afternoon. The departure time was scheduled for 2pm. We ended up leaving at 4pm.
Eso de principio nos incómodo un poco pues queríamos evitar que nos agarrara la noche en carretera pero de ningún modo dependía de nosotros sino de mi hermano y su familia quienes tuvieron la disposición de llevarnos en su camión. Cuando nos vinieron a buscar, empezamos a montar todo lo arreglado, cava, almohadas, cobijas, utensilios de cocina, alimentos, sillas y todo lo demás que se requiere para un viaje.
At first this made us a little uncomfortable because we wanted to avoid being caught by the night on the road, but it was not up to us but to my brother and his family who were willing to take us in their truck. When they came to pick us up, we started to assemble all the arrangements, cava, pillows, blankets, eating utensils, food, chairs and everything else that is required for a trip.
Mi hermana Elida y yo nos fuimos adelante con mi hermano menor Alexander, el chófer y dueño del vehículo, ya que su esposa prefería irse atrás con sus 3 hijos para monitorearlos y disfrutar aún más del viaje. Con ellos se fueron el matrimonio que nos invitó Francisco, Deyanira y su nieta pequeña, mi esposo, hija y nuestra mascota Nóbah que por supuesto no se podía perder de su primer viaje con su familia.
My sister Elida and I went ahead with my younger brother Alexander, the driver and owner of the vehicle, since his wife preferred to go in the back with their 3 children to monitor them and enjoy the trip even more. With them went the couple that Francisco invited us, Deyanira and her little granddaughter, my husband, daughter and our pet Nóbah who of course could not miss her first trip with her family.
Ese día afortunadamente no llovió el clima estaba bien soleado, cosa que agradecimos a Dios. Durante el recorrido yo aproveché de tomar muchas fotos, pues los paisajes eran hermosos, ya tenía varios años sin salir de casa y todo se nos hizo muy atractivo, a pesar de no ser la primera vez que viajamos por esa vía.
Fortunately it didn't rain that day and the weather was sunny, which we thanked God for. During the trip I took a lot of pictures, because the landscapes were beautiful, I had not left home for several years and everything was very attractive, even though it was not the first time we traveled that way.
Fue muy agradable la ocasión para nosotros como hermanos aprovechar de conversar de muchas cosas, reírnos y recordar algunas anécdotas vividas con nuestros padres que ya no están con nosotros. Esas conversaciones amenas más el estar pendiente de hacer mis mejores fotografías, me ayudaron a no estar pendiente de la carretera y a evitar que me atacaran los nervios. La velocidad la sentí muy apropiada ya que por los pasajeros que se llevaban en la parte detrás del camión se requería ir poco a poco.
It was a very nice occasion for us as brothers to talk about many things, laugh and remember some anecdotes lived with our parents who are no longer with us. Those pleasant conversations plus being aware of taking my best pictures, helped me not to be aware of the road and to avoid my nerves attacking me. I felt the speed was very appropriate since the passengers in the back of the truck made it necessary to go slowly.
Mi hermano en algunas ocasiones cuando sabía que venían paisajes bonitos aprovechaba en complicidad conmigo de bajar más la velocidad, eso facilitó que mis fotos quedarán muy bien. Aunque debo aclarar que todas fueron tomadas mientras el camión estaba en movimiento. Mi hermana Elida también estuvo atenta para decirme mira que lugar tan hermoso, allí me tocaba sacar el celular y accionar para poder obtener todas estás lindas fotos que les comparto.
My brother on some occasions when he knew that beautiful landscapes were coming, he took advantage in complicity with me to slow down more, that made it easier for my photos to look very good. Although I must clarify that all of them were taken while the truck was moving. My sister Elida was also attentive to tell me look what a beautiful place, then it was my turn to take out my cell phone and activate it to get all these beautiful photos that I share with you.
En vista de lo entretenido del viaje, habían obstáculos que no se veían bien y como decimos aquí no los comíamos, por supuesto el camión hacía movimientos algo aparatosos que quienes lo recibían con mayor impacto eran los pasajeros detrás, delante escuchábamos los gritos, las risas y los reclamos. Todo fue muy divertido.
In view of the fun of the trip, there were obstacles that did not look good and as we say here we did not eat them, of course the truck made movements something spectacular that those who received it with greater impact were the passengers behind, in front we heard the screams, laughter and complaints. It was all a lot of fun.
En algunas de mis fotos verán de todo un poco, montañas, árboles, la represa de San Antonio, algunos animales en la vía, las coloridas casas y su gente, los vendedores de arepas pelada con los conocidos fritos, algunas flores, en fin la belleza de la creación que no dejo de disfrutar y de amar cada día más.
In some of my photos you will see a little bit of everything, mountains, trees, the San Antonio dam, some animals on the road, the colorful houses and their people, the peeled arepas vendors with the well-known fried food, some flowers, in short the beauty of creation that I do not stop enjoying and loving more and more every day.
Ya casi cerca a las puertas de Miraflores, se decidió que mi hermana Elida cambiará de puesto con nuestro amigo Francisco, dueño del lugar a donde llegaríamos, para que guiará a mi hermano por el camino. A ella le tocó subir a la parte detrás del camión, yo me quedé en el asiento del medio del camión y nuestro anfitrión se quedó del lado de la puerta. Eso impidió un poco que pudiera seguir con mis fotografías, aunque igual tomé otras a través del vidrio delantero.
Almost at the gates of Miraflores, it was decided that my sister Elida would change places with our friend Francisco, owner of the place where we would arrive, to guide my brother along the way. She had to get in the back of the truck, I stayed in the middle seat of the truck and our host stayed on the side of the door. That prevented me a bit from being able to continue with my photographs, although I still took some through the front window.
Ya el viaje para mí se hizo un poquito tenso porque escuchaba de nuestro amigo decir al chófer "viene una curva peligrosa", esa alerta se activó varias veces, pero era mejor porque se reducía la velocidad y era más seguro. También nos avisaba con mucha seguridad, aquí está un obstáculo, y allá y más adelante. Fue como si tuviera grabada la carretera y todo lo que se conseguía en ella. Eso permitió que me mantuviera tranquila.
Already the trip for me became a little tense because I heard from our friend saying to the driver "a dangerous curve is coming", that alert was activated several times, but it was better because the speed was reduced and it was safer. It also warns us very surely, here is an obstacle, and there and further ahead. It was like it had the road and everything that was being accomplished on it on tape. That allowed me to stay calm.
Sin embargo, el resto de los pasajeros empezaron a quejarse del frío, algunos se colocaron cobijas, como mis sobrinos, otros como mi hermana Elida lo disfrutaron, porque le encanta la frialdad. Mi esposo al llegar me dijo que estaba congelado y que nuestra querida mascota temblaba del frío. Jeraldine le dio calor porque tenía un suéter y así todos lograron sobrevivir al viaje.
However, the rest of the passengers started to complain about the cold, some put blankets, like my nephews, others like my sister Elida enjoyed it, because she loves the coldness. My husband told me when he arrived that he was freezing and that our beloved pet was shivering from the cold. Jeraldine gave him warmth because she had a sweater and so everyone managed to survive the trip.
En mi caso llegué algo congestionada y afónica, sentía el pecho algo apretado, eso me asustó un poco, pensé en una crisis de asma. Afortunadamente llevé a mi mejor aliado el Triple 7, me tomé una porción pequeña con algo de café y en cuestión de minutos, volví a la normalidad. Todos los que vieron el antes y el después se quedaron asombrados. De hecho quedaron de comprarlo para su uso.
In my case I arrived somewhat congested and hoarse, my chest felt a little tight, that scared me a little, I thought I was having an asthma crisis. Fortunately I took my best ally Triple 7, I took a small portion with some coffee and in a matter of minutes, I was back to normal. Everyone who saw the before and after was amazed. In fact, they were determined to buy it for their own use.
Bueno por ahora voy a dejar este relato hasta aquí, como verán estarán narrados en varias partes. Esto solo fue el recorrido de ida. Estaré pendiente de irle compartiendo todos los demás detalles que hicieron de este viaje algo tan especial, que se convirtió en un merecido respiro.

Hola querida amiga, sí, fue una excelente idea podernos escapar y respirar otro aire, en medio de los árboles, los animales y tantas cosas que por sencillas que parezcan, nos dan ánimo y nos consuelan, pues fuimos capaces por un día de olvidar todo aquello que nos entristece y nos hace la vida más difícil. Les iré contando y mostrando todas esas fotos que dejaron evidencias de los momentos de alegría, entre amigos y familiares.😚😘🤗👍🏼🌺
Que perfecta iluminación tuviste en esos paisajes dorados, muy bellas fotos. Suerte que tú familia estaba de tu lado, no todas las familias son tan cooperativas 🤭
