¡Hola amigos de Hive! Me alegra saludarlos después de un tiempo desconectada. Quería compartir con ustedes una situación que estoy viviendo con mi madre. Como saben, soy hija única y vivo alejada de mis padres, quienes viven en Humucaro, mientras yo resido en la ciudad de Barquisimeto. Mi madre siempre había expresado su deseo de tener una becerra para criarla, aunque debo confesar que a mí me dan un poco de miedo los animales de ese tamaño jaja.
Hello Hive friends! I'm glad to greet you after a while disconnected. I wanted to share with you a situation that I am experiencing with my mother. As you know, I am an only child and I live away from my parents, who live in Humucaro, while I live in the city of Barquisimeto. My mother had always expressed her desire to have a calf to raise her, although I must confess that animals of that size scare me a little haha.
Sin embargo, llegó el día en el mes de enero una prima estaba vendiendo una becerrita de 7 meses y pudimos comprarla con el dinero que tenía ahorrado. La becerrita, a la que mi madre llamó cariñosamente "La Toñeca" jeje.

However, the day came in January when a cousin was selling a 7-month-old calf and we were able to buy her with the money she had saved. The little calf, which my mother affectionately called "La Toñeca" hehe.
Todo iba bien hasta que el 31 de marzo recibí una llamada temprano de mi madre informándome que se había caído. Resulta que mi madre había intentado amarrarla y se dio cuenta de que el mecate se había enredado en sus dos pies. Al intentar soltarlo, la becerrita se asustó y salió corriendo con fuerza, haciendo que mi madre cayera y se golpeara fuertemente el brazo derecho contra el suelo, causándole un intenso dolor.
Everything was going well until on March 31 I received an early call from my mother informing me that it had fallen. It turns out that my mother had tried to tie her up and realized that the rope had become entangled in her two feet. When trying to let go, the little calf got scared and ran away with force, causing my mother to fall and hit her right arm hard against the ground, causing her intense pain.
Me preocupé mucho al escucharla, especialmente porque estaba lejos de mi madre en Barquisimeto, a unas 2 o 3 horas de distancia de Humucaro. Mi madre no aguantaba el dolor, así que comencé a llamar a personas que pudieran llevarla a un ambulatorio para ser atendida (Ese momento de miedo y preocupación es muy dificil de explicar). Afortunadamente, un tío me ayudó a llevarla y la atendieron, pero le pidieron que se hiciera una placa. Decidí viajar a Humucaro el sábado por la mañana para ayudarla y ver cómo estaba, con la idea de regresar a Barquisimeto el lunes para hacerle la placa.
I was very worried listening to her, especially because I was far from my mother in Barquisimeto, about 2 or 3 hours away from Humucaro. My mother couldn't stand the pain, so I started calling people who could take her to an outpatient clinic to be treated (That moment of fear and worry is very difficult to explain). Luckily, an uncle helped me carry her and they took care of her, but they asked her to get a plate made. I decided to travel to Humucaro on Saturday morning to help her and see how she was doing, with the idea of returning to Barquisimeto on Monday to make the plaque.

Sin embargo, el dolor de mi madre persistía y no podía levantar el brazo. Además, su brazo se puso morado, así que decidimos regresar a Barquisimeto el lunes para hacerle la placa. Fuimos a la cooperativa cecosesola en Pueblo Nuevo, pero nos dieron una cita para las 01:30 p.m. Mientras esperábamos, fuimos a casa de una amiga de la iglesia. Luego, nos dirigimos al seguro y, gracias a Dios, nos atendieron pronto en emergencia de traumatología. El médico nos informó que mi madre tenía una fractura cerca del hombro y una pequeña fractura en la clavícula que había ocurrido años atrás en una caída.
However, my mother's pain persisted and she could not lift her arm. Also, his arm turned purple, so we decided to return to Barquisimeto on Monday to do the X-ray. We went to the cecosesola cooperative in Pueblo Nuevo, but they gave us an appointment for 01:30 p.m. While we waited, we went to a friend's house from church. Then we went to the insurance and, thank God, we were seen promptly in a trauma emergency. The doctor informed us that my mother had a fracture near her shoulder and a small fracture to her clavicle that had occurred years before in a fall.
Fue un momento difícil, ya que nos indicaron que necesitábamos comprar un inmovilizador de hombros y que esperáramos a la especialista para determinar si era necesario operar o si se podía manejar de manera conservadora, senti que ese tiempo fue eternoo le compre el inmovizador el cual sorprendentemente me costo 25$ me imagine que lo vendian a un precio mas bajo. Finalmente, nos dijeron que necesitaban hacerle una tomografía para evaluar mejor la situación. Me quedé con una sensación de angustia y preocupación, pero agradecida de que mi madre recibiera atención médica oportuna en el seguro, gracias a Dios a mi madre le mandaron a usar el inmovilizador de hombros tener reposo y inmovilizar completamente el brazo, le dieron unos dias de reposo y me dijeron que le repitiera la placa, gracias a Dios ha mejorado y el reposo esta funcionando para su recuperación. Desde que nos atendieron a pesar de los nervios he tenido la Fe en Dios de que todo saldrá bien y el la sanara por completo.
Durante el tiempo de su reposo asistimos a la iglesia y compartimos con hermosas amistades que Dios me dado la Bendición de conocer en la iglesia.
It was a difficult moment, since they told us that we needed to buy a shoulder immobilizer and to wait for the specialist to determine if it was necessary to operate or if it could be managed conservatively, I felt that that time was eternal or I bought the immobilizer which surprisingly It cost me $25. I imagined they sold it at a lower price. Finally, they told us that they needed to do a CT scan to better assess the situation. I was left with a feeling of anguish and worry, but I was grateful that my mother received timely medical attention in the insurance, thank God they sent my mother to use the shoulder immobilizer to rest and completely immobilize her arm, they gave her a few days rest and they told me to repeat the plate, thank God he has improved and the rest is working for his recovery. Since they took care of us despite the nerves, I have had faith in God that everything will be fine and he will heal her completely. During the time of his rest we attended church and shared with beautiful friends that God gave me the blessing of meeting in church.

2da cita con el traumatólogo, aqui mi mami estaba feliz porque nos dijeron que se manejaría el caso modo conservador y que estaba mejorando.

Amigos quiero decirles que este momento no ha sido facil para mi, pero me ayudo a pensar y reflexionar, quizás no pude disfrutar en familia los dias de semana santa o viajar como suelen hacer otras personas en esas fechas. Pero le doy gracias a Dios por cuidar de mi madre por evitar que ese golpe tan fuerte se lo diera en la cabeza o que pasara esos dias en el hospital con mi madre.
"Aprendi a darle gracias a Dios por todo lo que permite que suceda en mi vida, porque a pesar de cualquier dificultad el siempre esta conmigo y te aseguro que contigo también".

Friends, I want to tell you that this moment has not been easy for me, but it helped me to think and reflect, perhaps I could not enjoy Easter with my family or travel as other people usually do on those dates. But I thank God for taking care of my mother, for preventing her from hitting her head so hard or spending those days in the hospital with my mother.
