¡Hola hola hermosa comunidad! ¡Qué día ese de ayer! Ha hecho un clima agradable y nublado, me he sentido como si fuese Londres por la semejanza con los días allá. Desperté más tarde de lo habitual, ya que no tenía tantas responsabilidades para hoy en materia de lo laboral. Fue un día bastante relajado. Fui con mi mamá a su trabajo para terminar de conseguir documentos necesarios para matricular en la Maestría de Ciencias de la Educación y al terminar nos despedimos en la calle y ella fue hacia una reunión y yo para la terminal de ómnibus. Tuve que esperar que se completaran los asientos del carro en el que iba a viajar hacia Pinar y mientras tanto escuché un poco de música, como siempre suelo hacer mientras me traslado de un lugar a otro en algún medio de transporte.
Hello hello beautiful community, what a day yesterday! It was a nice and cloudy weather, I felt like I was in London because of the similarity with the days there. I woke up later than usual, as I didn't have so many responsibilities for today in terms of work. It was a pretty relaxed day. I went with my mom to her work to finish getting the necessary documents to enroll in the Master of Science in Education and when we finished we said goodbye in the street and she went to a meeting and I went to the bus terminal. I had to wait for the seats to be filled in the car in which I was going to travel to Pinar del Río and in the meantime I listened to some music, as I always do when I travel from one place to another in some means of transportation.
Como mencioné en el título, ¡ayer fue el cumpleaños de mi mejor amiga! Se celebró en grande la vida de esa personita que llegó a mi vida en esta nueva y mejor etapa de mi vida para acompañarme, apoyarnos mutuamente y más que amigas ser hermanas. Fue el cumple de @princess23ary. Pero antes de poder llegar a la celebración, debía cumplir esta parte de los documentos para poder empezar la maestría y visitar varios lugares. Al llegar a la ciudad pude resolver rápido la validación de nuestros títulos en la secretaría general de la universidad, y de ahí me trasladé hasta el edificio central para que mi superior me pusiera un último cuño que necesito en un documento para completar las planillas de solicitud.
As I mentioned in the title, it was my best friend's birthday! It was a big celebration of the life of that little person who came into my life in this new and better stage of my life to accompany me, support each other and more than friends to be sisters. It's @princess23ary's birthday. But before I could get to the celebration, I had to fulfill this part of the documents to be able to start the master's degree and visit several places. Upon arriving in the city I was able to quickly resolve the validation of our degrees at the general secretary of the university, and from there I moved to the central building for my superior to put one last stamp that I need on a document to complete the application forms.
Todo en el día no fue color de rosa. Tuve que esperar por el jefe para poder completar lo que me faltaba y quedarme sentada en una butaca cuando en realidad esperaba resolver rápido y seguir a mis otras actividades.
The whole day was not rosy. I had to wait for the boss so I could complete what I was missing and sit in an armchair when I was really hoping to resolve it quickly and move on to my other activities.
Cuando comenzaba a desesperar por el atraso de mi "plan día" la homenajeada me envía palabras de aliento y fuerza para no desistir en la espera. Ambas somos profes de inglés, y la mayor parte del tiempo nos comunicamos en ese idioma. Al final estuve más de una hora esperando hasta que pude resolver.
When I began to despair about the delay of my "day plan", the honoree sent me words of encouragement and strength to not give up waiting. We are both English teachers, and most of the time we communicate in English. In the end I spent more than an hour waiting until I was able to resolve the problem.
Al salir de allí me dispuse a tomar otro transporte para llegar hasta la casa de mi amiga y tener la tan ansiosa celebración. Terminé viajando en un coche tirado por caballos, que es un paseo que se disfruta más aunque también se siente más el aire frío. Pero al estar bien abrigada, resulté inmune al invierno.
When I left I set out to take another ride to get to my friend's house and have the long-awaited celebration. I ended up riding in a horse-drawn carriage, which is a more enjoyable ride but also feels colder. But being well wrapped up, I turned out to be immune to the winter.
Y al llegar ella estaba aún entre las sábanas y colchas acurrucada por el frío, aunque en su casa siempre hace calor. ¡Se puso súper contenta al verme! Enseguida empezamos a conversar, a revisar Ecency y vimos que había recibido un regalo con 100 puntos. Su mamá también cumplía años, así que era doble fiesta. Mientras esperábamos los otros amigos preparamos el vestido, se arregló el pelo y se maquilló al mismo tiempo que íbamos teniendo una buena conversación. Para comer tuvimos tostadas, pasta de bocadito, cupcakes, caramelos, galleticas de chocolate y croquetas.
And when I arrived she was still snuggled up in the sheets and quilts because of the cold, although it's always warm at her house. She was very happy to see me! We immediately started talking, checking Ecency and we saw that she had received a gift with 100 points. Her mom also had a birthday, so it was a double party. While we were waiting for the other friends we got her dress ready, her hair and make-up done and we were having a good conversation. For lunch we had toast, sandwich spread, cupcakes, candy, chocolate chip cookies and croquettes.
Cuando llegaron nuestros amigos la alegría creció, pero tristemente yo tuve que partir temprano ya que mi transporte regresaba a las 5 para el pueblo y debía estar en el punto de recogida a tiempo.
When our friends arrived the joy grew, but sadly I had to leave early as my transport was returning to town at 5 o'clock and I had to be at the pick-up point on time.
