Time.It is a funny thing isn't it? It stretches and compresses slows down and speeds up all depending on what you are doing and who you are with. And let me tell you when I am with my friends time just vanishes. It is like a black hole of laughter, shared stories and impromptu adventures. Our recent escapade to Naga's Baywalk is a perfect example.

One minute we were lighting candles at the church the next we were devouring balot and watching the sunset over the bay.Where did the day go?It was a blur of fun, friendship and food a day that I would not trade for anything.

Our day started with a touch of gratitude. Before we even thought about the Baywalk we made a stop at St. Francis de Asisi Parish.I had a little personal reason for wanting to go a huge sigh of relief actually I been exempted from our daily quizzes because I was well participated on our oral discussion. So,I lit some candles to offered a silent thank you and felt a sense of peace wash over me and my friends. It is always good to start the day with a little bit of faith, right?

From the serene atmosphere of the church we ventured into the world of history and culture at the Museo de Naga.I am fascinated by museums and this one was no exception. But,I will just save all the juicy details and insightful learnings from our museum visit for another blog post.Trust me,it deserves its own space.Let's just say it was a thought-provoking experience that added another layer to our day.

After immersing ourselves in the past our stomachs started rumbling signaling it was time for a snack break. And what is a Filipino outing without trying some local delicacies? We found ourselves drawn to the tantalizing aroma of balot.

Now,balot is not for the faint of heart. It is a fertilized duck egg with a developing embryo inside, boiled or steamed and eaten straight from the shell. It is a Filipino delicacy a street food staple and a true test of adventurous eating.

The balot vendors were calling out their offers and we couldn't resist. The prices ranged from 15 pesos for the Pinoy (just a regular boiled egg for the less adventurous) to 30 pesos for the balot itself. You even got to choose your balot number 16 or number 18.Apparently is 16 meant a bigger embryo while 18 was a smaller one.We option for a mix some brave souls going for the 16 others like me sticking with the 18.It is an acquired taste for sure but it is definitely an experience.

Alongside the balot we indulged in some other street food favorites. Sweet corn boiled to perfection and served in a cup with a generous sprinkle of cheese powder was a must-have.At just 25 pesos it was a delicious and affordable treat.

My classmates also grabbed some apple mangoes a delightful mix of sweet and sour that perfectly complemented the richness of the balot. It was a feast for the senses a culinary adventure right there on the streets of Naga.

With our stomachs full and our spirits high we finally made our way to the Baywalk. It was the perfect ending to a perfect day.During sunset the sky turned a brilliant mixture of orange, pink and purple as the bay breezes created a refreshing sensation among calm surroundings. We strolled along the chatting, laughing and taking photos to capture the memories of our day.

The Baywalk serves as a busy destination for local and international guests because it lets people find relaxation and benefit from the environment and the lively energy. There were families enjoying picnics couples strolling hand in hand and groups of friends just hanging out just like us.It was a beautiful sight a reminder of the simple joys in life.

At the end of the day we understood that it was time to leave for home while exchanging promises for another gathering and while I was walking through home that evening I could not help but smile. It was a day well spent day that filled of laughter, friendship and delicious food.It was a reminder of how precious time is especially when shared with the people you care about.

You know it is funny how time works and when you are having fun it seems to fly by but when you are stuck in a boring meeting or waiting for something to happen it can feel like an eternity.I have definitely experienced both sides of the coin. But what I have learned is that it is not just about how much time you have it is about how you spend it.

Are you also losing track of time when you are with your friends and I think it is a universal experience. When you are surrounded by people who make you laugh, who understand you and who you can be yourself around time just seems to fade away. You are so caught up in the moment in the shared experiences that you forget about everything else.It is like you are in your own little world a world where time does nott exist.

These moments, these precious moments with friends are what make life so special. They are the moments that we cherish the moments that we remember long after they have passed. They are the moments that make us feel alive, connected and grateful for the people in our lives.

So the next time you find yourself with your friends, remember to savor every moment. Put away your phones forget about your worries and simply enjoy the company of the people you love.Because time is precious and these moments are even more so.And who knows maybe you all create a memory that will last a lifetime just like our day at Naga's Baywalk.

It was a day I won't soon forget a day that reminded me of the true value of friendship and the magic of shared experiences. And as I reflect on that day I realize that it was not just about the balot or the Baywalk it was about the connection, the laughter and the shared joy of being together. It was about making memories that will continue to warm my heart long after the sun has set on that perfect day.

Love the balot, it's so delicious especially when you put salt and vinegar.
