Have you ever heard about a floating bookfair?
I first learned about it when I was in College in my hometown. There's this ship called, Logos Hope, which sails around the world. And yes, it is a bookstore in a ship! I remember going there 3x!
For years, there were times when I would wonder if it still exists or when it will be back in the PH.
Then a few weeks ago, I bumped into this post online about this floating bookfair inside the ship named, Doulos Hope. According to their website, Doulos Hope is the latest addition to the GBA Ships fleet!
When I learned that they will be docking in Manila Port, I knew I had to go and visit!!! I quickly invited my bookworm friend. Haha
What I love about visiting these floating bookstores aside from the unique experience is their book selection! They are unique and beautiful! Plus, they are affordable, given their qualityyy.
In this visit, my friend and I mainly scanned through the children's books section. As expected, we wanted to bring home everything! HAHAHA Not only are the stories unique. The illustrations are VERY BEAUTIFUL!
I am so happy to be back in this floating book fair! And it was extra fun because I experienced it with my friend who enjoyed it equally. hehe
Doulos Hope will be in Manila Port until April 14. But last time I checked their website, all slots are already full. Their next stop will be in Batangas, from April 16-28!
Stay sane and safe!
Let's spread happiness.

I only heard about that today, that's amazing I'm not sure if it ever dock somewhere herenin our province. But even if it did, I think di ko rin sha mavivisit. So sadddss. That's so unique ha, who ever think of that.
it really is a fun thing to experience! last na ata nila sa Batangas this year. :( hopefully, they'll be back here in a few years!
before, they docked in Cebu!! so going to the other provinces might be a possibility. hehe
I heard about it too but Luzon is too far to go. Glad you had been able to go and enjoyed.
Where are you located? Hope you'll get to experience it next time!
I hope they'll come to visit there but I guess Mindanao is not a focus. Anyway, I have never been to a floating book fair. I guess it's a great experience to read books while viewing the sea. I can't measure the amount of peace and happiness through that. ❤️
It was more of a book store type with a cafe inside. But based on my experience, the vibe isn't very suitable for reading, since people will be all around, looking for books or resting/chatting in the cafe ehehe
but yes, it is something nice to experience ♥️
