Christening is a part of us being Roman Catholics. Just recently, we got invited to a Christening of my friend's daughter.
I brought my son Jacob with me since it was a weekend and he did not have any class. He brought our gift. Mine and my friend's gift since she instructed me to buy a gift for her because she did not have any time.
The christening is held in the Archdiocesan Shrine Of San Vicente Ferrer in Bogo City. Ever since I got my work in Tuburan, I rarely come here to Bogo City and it is my first time to back then ever since.
Before we went in, we took a family photo outside.
When I arrived at the Christening venue, I was greeted by my two friends who are now public school teachers also. We used to be classmates back then during our college years.
We are all busy adults and occasions like these are the ones that reunite us. After a few minutes of chitchatting, the priest arrived and began the Christening ceremony.
As godparents, we are given individual candles to light on during a specific part of the ceremony.
Baby Fabiola and her parents
After the ceremony, we took some photos.
Some of the godparents are my college classmates since Fabiola’s parents were our classmates back then too. This celebration feels like a little college reunion.
We then went to the venue which was a private beach resort located in Bogo City, the northernmost city in Cebu Province.
Time for lunch. Thank you Baby Fabiola and parents!
The girl in white standing at the back is Fabiola’s mother who is closest to our hearts and our good friend since college, after her busy day we finally got a chance to take a photo with her in the venue and we also had some chitchat.
I am so happy to see all my college friends be successful, all of us are now public school teachers which we just dreamt before but now it has finally turned into reality.
To friendship and success in our individual endeavors! Ciao!♡
