Most of us, not all, are anticipating to this month of February for the reason that it is the month of love ❤ where we spend an extra special moment with our loved ones... Cheers to those who are ready to celebrate the upcoming Valentine’s Day! May we all find the love we truly deserve.
Speaking of such a sweet celebration, I am here writing my second blog for this month about the wedding that I recently attended, which is the wedding of my closest friend Lovern with his husband Josh. I am very much honored to be one of their witnesses as they celebrate this momentous milestone of their relationship. As I already stated here in my previous blog, Lovern is my high school classmate, and she was also one of my bridesmaids during my church wedding, and I am in so much happiness that now she is the one wearing the veil in her own wedding.
With all thanks to the universe, who gave us such a lovely day, many of us are looking forward to a fine weather since it is a garden wedding. The wedding was held at Montebello Villa Hotel at Lahug, Cebu, which, unfortunately, I am not familiar with the place because I haven’t been there ever since. Well, thankfully, my friend Joy asked me to go along with them since her husband will be the one to drive their car.
We arrived at the hotel 2 hours before the program to start so we still have enough time to prepare and do our make-ups. Well, it’s a girl thing. And again, all thanks to Joy because they booked a room for them to stay so we have a perfect place to do the preparation. We had a couple of hours preparing, joking around, and teasing each other. And of course, taking a picture.
We also took the time to comfort the bride because, unfortunately, there is a small inconvenience since her wedding will be delayed for an hour due to her wardrobe malfunction. So, the coordinator immediately took action to resolve the problem. Well, the show must go on; it didn’t ruin the day.
This is the moment that the bride walked down the aisle; we all felt emotional in this part because she lost her younger sister last year, who was supposedly to be her maid of honor. It was her younger sister’s wish for her to push through the wedding despite losing her. I can really feel the mix of emotions that her parents felt that moment. I know that her younger sister is happy seeing her walking down the aisle.
In the utmost blessings she is now experiencing, I am here smiling for her. All throughout the ceremony and venue, I could really see how they worked so hard for them to achieve the wedding that they dreamt of. Even during the bridal shower, Lovern shared with us that it wasn’t an easy preparation and budgeting, but she believes that everything will work out, and I could relate to that. She also got the same wedding coordinator as mine because, as for her experience, it was a well-organized event, and the staff are very approachable and keen to details.
After the ceremony, we went straight to the glass room, which is just beside the garden. That is where the reception will be held and where the program will continue. Before the program started, we had some pica-pica as snacks, and we took the time to have some photos taken at the photo booth. Well, we never missed this chance, but to grab it, it is our souvenir, and we made sure to have one copy each of us lol. We really had fun that day, and surely it is a memorable one.
As for my newlywed friend, I just wish and pray for them to be happily married for many long years. May the universe continue to bless the both of you as a married couple and to grow individually. Together, you both shine brighter, and I know that your journey ahead will be filled with LOVE.
