I can still remember clearly on what happened on this day it was like yesterday. It’s a memory I will always keep in my heart.
I was so happy when my teacher told me I was the valedictorian of our batch she just chatted in our group chat that night. I had to give a speech during the program and I was very scared. Even though I made some mistakes, I was proud of myself for facing my fear. It felt like I was taking one step at a time .
On graduation day, I needed to have my makeup done. But it was very expensive to get an make up artist it cost 500 pesos. Luckily, my uncle’s girlfriend knew how to do makeup, so she did it for me.
Our diplomas got mixed up with my classmates when they were handed out, but thankfully, we just exchanged during the program.
After the program, we took lots of pictures to remember the day. When I look at these photos now, I see how pure and happy our smiles were.
I took a picture with my group of friends, and I felt so happy because all of us were honor students.
Even though we now study in different schools, our friendship is still strong. We have been friends since elementary school, and our bond has stayed the same.
I also had a picture with my mother, who always supports me. She cheers me on and checks on me all the time. And comforting me when I needed someone to talk to.
What made me even happier was when my mother gave me a bouquet and a garland made of money.
We also took a group photo with my mother and her siblings.
One of my classmates had a photo together after graduation. Even though we weren’t very close, we still made sure to take that picture for memories. Seeing it now brings back so many good moments.
When I got home, my grandmother was very happy for me.That’s why I gave her my medal.
My cousin was so excited when he saw my money garland and bouquet. He even put them around his neck and asked me to take a picture of him.
One of my mother’s siblings graduated in the same year as me.
That day was so special. It was full of happiness and memories I will never forget.
