Hello everyone! Its great to be part of this amazing community. I'm so excited! When I came across this community, I did not hesitate to join as my family and great friends are something I really cherish and would do what it takes to keep our love and bond flourishing. Thinking about all the memories shared overtime just gives me pure joy! So imagine the excitement when I saw that I could share my experiences with my family and friends here.
I belong to an extended family of parents, siblings, uncles, aunts, nephews and and lots of friends turned family. We do not live together but we take time out to meet up regularly to unwind and bond which brings so much laughter, tears memories and excitement for both old and young among us.
It was the end of the year and my sibling who lived far from us had planned a large family gathering which would include my parents, sisters, uncle and his family and all my nephews. We were all so excited about the gathering because it had been a while since we came together as a family to unwind and bond.
A chinese restaurant was chosen for the gathering so we can get to eat some Chinese delicacy. My other family members which included my parents, siblings, nephews, uncle and his family arrived earlier as I had other engagement to attend to earlier in the day. Later in the evening I joined in the excitement and had some rice, shrimp sauce and a cocktail to finish up. We had a lot of discussions and fun catching up with my uncle and his family, my nephews and their dad who stayed far away. We also listened to soft music. The night was well along so we decided it was time to leave. We had some snapshots before leaving to have some memories documented as usual.
I am always so excited to catch up with family as we all have gone ahead to pursue our various endeavors separately and don't get to see as often as we did when we were young. Life tends to take us to different paths as family but we need to make out time regularly to have a reunion to keep the love aglow. At the end of the day, family should always come first and be cherished as they are people who mostly come through for you in times of need.
Thanks for reading and I hope to share more experiences with my family and friends.
