Good day, my dear hivers!
In this blog, I’ll take you behind the scenes and share how we prepared for our interpretative dance video.
The Plan
Our plan was to shoot the video on Sunday at Bogo Plaza. Thankfully, my group members agreed since it was convenient for them as well. We decided to meet at 9 AM so we could start early and finish early too.
Morning Preparations
I woke up at 7 AM to leave by around 8 AM. I did my usual morning routine and, of course, had breakfast to ensure I had the energy and strength for the video shoot.
The Commute
At exactly 8:20 AM, I was on my way. I commuted, which usually takes about 30 minutes or less to get to Bogo City. I arrived at Bogo Plaza at 9 AM, just on time, but my group members were running on "Filipino time" and arrived late.
There were only two of us at Bogo City initially, and the one with me was my classmate for that specific subject. She’s always an early bird.
My Experience as a Sit-In Student
I actually just sat in on this subject, and my classmates were second-year Criminology students. They were so friendly and welcoming.
The main reason I joined their class was because I’m a working student, and when I coordinated my schedule with my co-worker, we had to find a class schedule that wouldn’t conflict with our office duties. Since their class fit perfectly into my schedule, I joined them.
My classmates for this subject never made me feel left out of the group, and the one who arrived early with me is someone I really get along with.
The Dance Practice
After an hour, the rest of our group finally arrived.
We started practicing our dance, but since some members forgot a few steps, we had to repeat it several times, which took about an hour to finish.
The Video Shoot
Our instructor told us to take a video, so we had to do several takes to ensure we captured the best shots. Even though it was exhausting to repeat the shots over and over, our mood lightened when one of our group members danced adorably, making us laugh a lot.
Thankfully, none of us had anger issues, so even with all the retakes, no one got upset or complained.
Final Touches
After several takes and a lot of patience, we finally finished. A few minutes later, we took a group photo to include at the end of our video.
Here are some other selfies we and I took during the day.
Shooting for our interpretative dance video was truly a journey filled with hard work, creativity, and teamwork.
And that’s all, my dear hivers. Thank you for reading!
