Hello Hivers! How's your body feeling now?
Have you been able to move around, exercise, or at least give yourself a good stretch? I can assure you that stretching is an excellent method to give your body a much-needed wake-up call. Exercise is crucial for preserving the health and vitality of our bodies; it's not only about staying in shape.Moving about keeps us feeling alive, increases circulation, and elevates our mood. Even simple stretches can relieve tension and make us feel refreshed.
Sharing Our PE Culmination Experience
Yes, @itsmemic again! In this blog, I’ll share our PE culmination event. Our section showcased different kinds of dances, and my role was performing Tinikling—you know, the traditional dance with bamboo sticks. During the presentation, I even sat on the sticks at one point! But before I dive into that, let’s start with the preparation, like doing makeup.
One of my classmates is incredibly talented at makeup. She’s like a pro—knows how to shape eyebrows perfectly, apply makeup step by step from primer to setting powder, and make everyone look amazing. Not gonna lie, I felt really lucky to have her around for this event.
While some of my classmates were already changing into their costumes, nerves started creeping in. We were going to perform at the Bogo City Amphitheatre, a busy area where strangers constantly pass by. Plus, our instructor had very high expectations for us, which added to the pressure. Still, we kept telling each other, “Just enjoy the moment!” to calm our nerves.
We took a group photo before the performance. Everyone looked fresh—no sweat, and the makeup still intact. It was one of those moments when you can tell we were excited but trying to hide our jitters.
One of my classmates wore a different costume for their performance, but we all still made sure to include her in a group photo. That’s just how close we are—supporting and bonding with each other no matter what.
Our Tinikling outfit was rented specifically for the dance to match the traditional vibe. It wasn’t cheap, but we were all in because we knew it was for our grades. We also had to wear white slippers, and I was so grateful when a classmate offered to buy them for me since I was already at school. Additionally, the floral arm accessories we wore were handmade by my classmates—cut and sewn with so much care.
The Performance
When it was finally time to perform, the pressure was real. But we managed to keep the energy positive by chatting and laughing while waiting for our turn. Surprisingly, we were the only group performing at the Bogo City Amphitheatre, so all eyes were on us.
When the moment came, we gave it our all. Our instructor was thrilled, saying our performance was clean, well-coordinated, and impressive. It felt so rewarding to know that all our practices and efforts paid off. Even when I struggled with balancing on the bamboo poles during my part, I made sure to keep smiling—no one could tell how nervous I was!
After the performance, we took a picture with our instructor. He was so accommodating and friendly, agreeing to a photo without hesitation. His support and presence meant a lot to us, and we wanted to make sure our efforts were worth his time.
And that’s it for my blog, hivers! I hope you enjoyed reading about our PE culmination experience.
The day was full of challenges, excitement, and teamwork, and I'm really happy of what we managed to do.
