Celebrating early Christmas with our staff

3 hours more to go and its already Christmas eve. Merry Christmas, my dear Hivers! I hope most of you are spending time with your family and love ones this holiday. Our Christmas eve celebration is actually quite simple- a dinner out with my family. So instead, i'd like to share our simple celebration with our staffs.

In my previous blog (see: Holiday party preparation), I shared about the tedious part of preparing for a party. So consider this next blog as a continuation of my previous one as I share the actual party itself.

My family and I are never the type to hold a lot of parties. In fact, we shy away from it. Even on our birthdays, we don't buy each other birthday cakes and it would just be a typical day for us. But these past few years, we find ourselves celebrating more milestones. We are now having a simple Christmas party celebration with our few staffs.

For the food, majority of it are ordered from our most trusted catering- Maria Lina catering. We ordered their best sellers, legua estofado, ebi tempura, caldereta, and bihon.

We also ordered some pizza to add to the menu. My siblings and I personally cooked the spaghetti pasta and made some fruit salad for dessert.

Of course, a party wouldn't be complete without lechon (roasted pig)- the star of every celebration.

After eating our sumptuous dinner, they had some games and exchanging gifts. One or two of our staff offered a song performance which we really appreciated. This is the only event where we can thank all of them for their hard work, as they are usually on shifting.

Someday, I hope to build my own dedicated team too.
