Can you imagine this? It’s December 21st, and we are still in full work mode as if it were the first day of the year (as if), when it was definitely the last day of the week. Everyone's so busy, transactions are so many, clients are in and out, and yet, there’s this kind of energy and excitement buzzing through our office. Hahahaha, and yes, our party venue was none other than our office. Here's the real story. The party began immediately after duty. Huhu, just try to imagine the guests arriving and music playing while we were trying to get things done. Multitasking level is expert! HAHAHAHAHAHA
While we were so busy, something special started to happen. Our valued clients began giving and surprising us with gifts. I was overwhelmed, not just by the items themselves, but by the thoughtfulness of their gestures. I'm honestly so touched. It’s so heartwarming to think and realize how much we’re appreciated by the people we serve every day. I’d say that idea by itself made my day more wonderful despite it being so hectic.
After all the busy hours, it was finally time to eat. Oops! A special mention should be made of our manager, who went the extra mile to arrange a catering service for everybody, in which all the food was great! There was a lot of food, and here’s just a few. I didn’t actually capture everything I ate that time. But yeah, credit to our manager for ensuring that not only our hearts were filled, but our stomachs were too. So thankful.
Our kind of gift exchange was, of course, a showstopper. We didn’t just give each other gifts, we gave gifts with a gimmick or twist. The twist is that the first person would pick a gift, open it, and then the next person could either steal an opened gift or choose a new one. When it was my turn to pick a gift, I chose one and guess what? Our manager stole it from me! HAHAHAHA The funniest part? Almost everyone had their eyes on the gift that I wrapped, a sleek vacuum flask. The anonymity of the gift-giving made it even funnier because my senior threw hilarious and crazy joke threats (like he wouldn’t approve my transactions) if I ever stole his chosen gift, which, honestly, was the gift I wrapped myself. Also, the rule was that we couldn’t steal back gifts that had already passed through our hands. Entertaining and genius! HAHAHAHA
Also, the exciting part of the evening? The games! We all gathered for it. Whether it was a relay that made everyone trip over their feet or a trivia game where the wrong answers were even funnier than the right ones, we laughed until our sides and gums hurt. Now talking about the best part? Of course, I walked away with cash prizes! HAHAHAHAHA. By the end of the night, my heart was as full as my arms and hands. I received a lot of gifts, and I just appreciate everyone so much, knowing that each one is a reminder of their kindness and generosity from the people around me. Starting with practical items to sweet little gifts, I could not help but appreciate being surrounded by such great colleagues and clients.
For that reason, I can say that this Christmas party was more than just an event or program. It was truly a celebration of togetherness and fun that comes with the simple joys of giving and receiving. In the same way, it easily became one of the brightest and most inspiring hours of the year among all our working days hahahahaha. I wish there'll be more moments like this, where work feels like family and even the busiest or most stressful days can end amazingly. Thanks for reading, everyone!

Hello dearest Hivers! How are you this weekend? Oh yes, you do recollect a time when people loved extending their heart or hand in giving and receiving at this time of the year. As someone who's not so spoiled with gifts or presents, I’ve always treasured and appreciated the genuine thoughtfulness behind every gift, no matter how small they are. For me, it's always been the thoughtfulness that counts. The Christmas party of our branch this year was a good eye-opener to the depth of the spirit of the Yuletide season. Hehe, now let me share with you a glimpse of the simple happenings that day.
