Wassup Hivers! It's me again. Have you tried ice skating before? Well, let me share my experience and how happy I am with the bonding we shared.
The planning and our trip there
Last 2022, my cousins and I plan to go to SM Seaside City Cebu to try ice skating. At first, it was just us three but then we thought we should also let our boyfriends join so that it would be fun and perhaps we could get to know each other. It is also our dream to go out with our plus ones. So we plan what date we should go, where we should eat, and where we are going after. Also, we save money and inquire about the price of ice skating, etc.
Upon going there, we first rode a minibus and when we arrived at Mabolo Cebu, we got off the minibus and we just walked to SM Cebu to ride another bus going to the SM Seaside City Cebu. When we lined up at the bus stop, their fee was 30 pesos but since we got school ID, we had a discount and the amount that we paid was just 24 pesos only. Going there is just like a 5-10-minute ride if there's no traffic.
When we arrived at the destination, we immediately went to the ice skating area located on the third level, city wing near the food court and paid 300 pesos which is good for 2 hours already, we also availed one polar bear skating for 100 pesos because we are beginners and we don't know how to skate, and also we rent a locker so that we could leave our belongings. It is just for 50 pesos only. But now, the prices have increased and the price for a 2-hour pass is now 330 pesos, and for the polar bear, it is now 125 pesos. Upon paying they will give you a form or paper indicating their rules and regulations and you need to sign and fill it up with your personal information.
Our fun bondings
When we first tried to walk it was so hard to control, we couldn't balance ourselves. So what we did was we just walked to the side and held on to something so that we wouldn't be out of balance. My cousin’s boyfriend knows how to skate, so he teaches us how to balance and stand properly, how to walk and stop by just controlling the skate shoes. He will scare us sometimes and we just laugh about it.
We are eager to learn and when we are familiar and know how to skate a little we just play around and keep laughing. Our voices are so loud, it's not the same compared to when we're on the way to our destination. It’s like we’ve known each other for a long time and we let our inner child use our personality that time.😆 We tried to skate without holding on to something to see if we will fall down but luckily we didn't fell down and slip.
We had so much fun even though we had multiple slips, stumbles and falls. Our bond became stronger and closer. We can joke around with each other without being offended even though we're not even that close.(What I mean by not that close is their plus ones)
This is the view when you sit in a polar bear skating because I got tired of skating. It feels like heaven haha.
It was very tiring though, our feet was hurting because of the shoes. But over all it was a fun experience and new discovery to us. It's like we've achieve a new skill haha😆 After the fun trip, we just ate dinner and go home after eating.

This is so funnn! But I bet it would be even more fun if I knew how to skate. I always get my cousins to push me in a bear skate aides since my balance is not that good, hahaha.
