Hello friends, I hope you are having a fantastic week. My cousin had invited my mother and me to her house to enjoy a delicious snack, but the main reason for this meeting was to spend a nice afternoon with my mom, since this weekend she will travel to Margarita Island to spend Christmas with my daughter @vero10h. Although my cousin lives 10 minutes away from my house, we had a long time without seeing each other, we always made plans, but because of some last minute mishap we couldn't get together. In order to be punctual at her house I had to set the alarm clock very early, since I had ordered a ham bread and the employee told me that I had to come by at 10 am. I was surprised when I arrived at the bakery, because even though I had paid for the bread a day in advance, when I got there he told me that they had sold all the ham loaves.
Thank goodness they had baked a large quantity, but I had to make several trips from my house to the bakery. Arriving at my cousin's house the emotion was very great, the first hug between my mother and my cousin was accompanied by many tears, as they have always maintained a beautiful relationship, since they were teenagers they were very good friends and always enjoyed walks and vacations together. After several minutes of a long hug, she invited us to drink an exquisite wine, it was the first time I tasted wine with passion fruit flavor, we toasted to our wishes, we decreed and thanked that the year 2024 would be a wonderful year. Then we had a delicious dessert, what I enjoyed the most was the Spanish omelette, it is one of the best I have ever tasted.
We talked remembering beautiful family anecdotes and we also remembered the relatives who were one day in that home and who are now in another plane, since my aunt lived there and she was the one who always organized the family reunions in December, she always had a very cheerful and jovial character, just like my mom, I think it is a genetic inheritance, since all my aunts have a very cheerful personality, it is a quality that characterizes them all. My cousin gave us a nice gift before we left, as she knows that I love desserts, she prepared some Christmas doughnuts, wrapped them in a beautiful transparent box and decorated it with a beautiful ribbon. I have to ask for the recipe, because I loved the vanilla flavor with the sweet anise and the crunchy texture, it was a very exquisite culinary experience!
Family is a great blessing, when there are deep bonds of love we must try to build unforgettable moments!
- Hola amigos, espero que estén pasando una semana fantástica. Mi prima nos había invitado a mi madre y a mi a su casa para disfrutar de una rica merienda, pero el motivo principal de ésta reunión era poder pasar una tarde agradable con mi mamá, ya que éste fin de semana viajará a la isla de Margarita a pasar las navidades junto a mi hija @vero10h. A pesar de que mi prima vive a 10 minutos de mi casa teníamos tiempo sin vernos, siempre hacíamos planes, pero por algún contratiempo de última hora no lográbamos reunirnos. Para poder estar puntual en su casa tuve que poner el despertador muy temprano, ya que había encargado un pan de jamón y el empleado me comentó que debía pasar a las 10 de la mañana. Me llevé una sorpresa cuando llegué a la panadería, ya que a pesar de haber pagado el pan con un día de anticipación, al llegar me comentó que habían vendido todos los panes de jamón.
- Gracias a Dios que habían puesto a hornear una gran cantidad, pero tuve que hacer varios viajes de mi casa a la panadería. Al llegar a la casa de mi prima la emoción fue muy grande, el primer abrazo entre mi madre y mi prima estuvo acompañado de muchas lágrimas, ya que ellas siempre han mantenido una hermosa relación, desde que eran adolescentes eran muy buenas amigas y siempre disfrutaron de paseos y vacaciones juntas. Luego de varios minutos de un largo abrazo, nos invito a tomar un vino exquisito, es primera vez que pruebo vino con sabor a maracuyá, brindamos por nuestros deseos, decretamos y agradecimos que el año 2024 fuera un maravilloso año. Luego merendamos unos postres muy exquisitos, lo que más disfruté fue la tortilla española, es de las mejores que he probado.
- Conversamos recordando hermosas anécdotas familiares y también recordamos a los familiares que estuvieron algún día en ese hogar y que ahora están en otro plano, ya que mi tía vivía allí y ella era la que siempre organizaba las reuniones familiares en diciembre, siempre tuvo un carácter muy alegra y jovial, igual que mi mamá, pienso que es herencia genética, ya que todas mis tías tienen una personalidad muy alegre, es una cualidad que las caracteriza a todas. Mi prima nos entregó un lindo obsequio antes de irnos, como ella sabe que yo amo los postres, preparó unas roquillas de Navidad, las envolvió en una hermosa caja transparente y la decoró con un hermoso lazo. Tengo que pedir la receta, porque me encantó el sabor de la vainilla con el anís dulce y la textura crujiente, fue una experiencia culinario muy exquisita!
- La familia es una gran bendición, cuando hay lazos profundos de amor debemos tratar de construir momentos inolvidables!
