Namaste Hivers!
I hope you all are phenomenal
Today I'll be sharing with you about my reunion with a school friend after 7 years.
Rajan and I had been friends since 2007. We were school buddies and had a great time together. Whenever I think of the good old days, Rajan is a part of most of the memories. After completing school, we embarked on our different journeys—Rajan went to pursue medical studies in England while I stayed back to chase my dreams.

It had been seven years since we last met. Then finally, a week ago, due to some business-related work, I had to go to London. I immediately called Rajan up. He told me that Nottingham was not too far and guided me on how to get there. The anticipation built as I made my way to Nottingham, eager to reconnect with my old friend.
When I finally met him in front of the majestic Nottingham Council House, I was overwhelmed and delighted. Rajan was a completely different person now. He had changed for good. The mischievous boy I once knew had grown into a mature and purpose-driven man. His posture was confident, and there was a calmness in his demeanor that spoke volumes about his journey.
"Hey, it's been too long!" I exclaimed, giving him a hearty hug.
"It sure has," Rajan replied with a warm smile. "Welcome to Nottingham!"
We decided to stroll through the city, catching up on lost time. Rajan shared stories of his life in England, the challenges of medical school, and the satisfaction of helping patients. He had grown in ways I hadn't fully appreciated until now. His passion for medicine had given him a clear direction and purpose in life.
"Do you remember the volcano incident?" I asked with a laugh.
"Oh, how could I forget!" Rajan chuckled. We reminisced about the annual science fair in 2009 when we decided to create a volcano model that erupted with baking soda and vinegar. Rajan, in his typical style, had added some red food coloring without telling me, resulting in a gigantic, sticky mess that spilled over the entire table. Our classmates roared with laughter as we tried to control the 'lava' flow, ending up with red-stained hands and clothes. Despite the chaos, we won a special mention for creativity, and the incident became legendary in our school.
"Those were the days," Rajan said, shaking his head. "I can't believe how much we've changed since then."
"Let me show you around," Rajan suggested. He took me to some of Nottingham's iconic spots, starting with the Old Market Square where we stood. We visited the Nottingham Castle, walked through the quaint streets of the Lace Market, and even stopped by Ye Olde Trip to Jerusalem, the oldest inn in England.
As we explored the city, we reminisced about old times and talked about our future plans. It felt like no time had passed at all. Despite the years and distance, the bond we shared had only strengthened.
Later, we spent some time together, shot the breeze, and relived our school memories. We laughed about the pranks we played, the challenges we faced, and the dreams we chased. Rajan's transformation was evident; he was more composed, empathetic, and dedicated to his profession. It was inspiring to see how far he had come.
As the day drew to a close, Rajan persistently tried to convince me to stay at his place for the night. "Come on, just one night. We have so much more to catch up on," he urged.
"I wish I could, Rajan, but I have some business commitments I can't ignore," I replied, reluctantly. "But let's not wait another seven years to meet again."
"Deal," Rajan said with a smile.
We parted ways with a promise to stay more connected, knowing that true friendships endure the test of time and distance. As I made my way back to London, I felt a renewed sense of connection and a deep appreciation for the journey we had both undertaken. The brief reunion was a reminder of the strength of our bond and the importance of maintaining cherished friendships, no matter where life takes us.
That's all from my side this time , I cannot explain how much grateful I'm to you all for taking out time to read my blog post , see you again next time.
