Celebrating New Year's Eve: Bubbly, Noise, and New Beginnings🥳🎉🍾!
Hello dear Hivers, it's been a while since my last blog; I can recall, that was last year. HAHAH. How are you? I hope you are all doing well and enjoying your holidays wherever you've celebrated them, whether at your homes, resorts, or alike. Welcome to another "blogserye" (blog series) featuring our New Year's Eve celebration. Come and join me in this once-a-year celebration and tradition of joy and cheers.
Just like Christmas' Eve, my New Year's Eve was full. We were busy decorating our small backdrop for the new year's eve and, of course, busy preparing food. This was our first time celebrating the new year outside our home; we've celebrated the Christmas and New Year at our small sari-sari store. I can't even recall when was the last time I went home—I mean, to our first home; our store serves as our second and new home now. Anyway, as a tradition, we've prepared circle fruits that symbolize money and prosperity. How about you? Do you believe in that superstition?
Whatever we believe, what's more important is that we have our complete family in celebrating the new year, even without those foods. As long as we have our loved ones, I guess that's enough for me. No other thing will ever replace the joy of having a complete family eating together during the new year. Actually, we didn't wait for midnight before consuming our prepared food; we ate at 8:00 PM, and my mom and sister enjoyed their night rest. I, together with my brother, waited for midnight.
When it's 12:00, we then eat together again and light up some firecrackers. The sound of the New Year was deafening—bang there, bang everywhere. Plus the "lantaka" (canon-like explosive made of multiple cans) of my cousins, our new year was indeed a blast. We believe that making noise during the new year will tear off evil spirits. How about you? Do you believe in those superstitions too? Share your thoughts in the comment section; I would love to hear from you.
Moreover, believing in superstitions isn't bad; there's nothing you will lose if you do so. I'm glad that even in the era where artificial intelligence and technology are rampant, we still didn't forget our traditions, but what's more important than tradition is the family itself. I know some may not have enjoyed the new year with their family because of work or something alike; don't be sad; just enjoy the year and embrace it with positivity. Tight hugs for those who celebrate the new year away from their family!🤗
Together, let us face the new year with a big smile and positivity. I always prayed for healing and world peace. May this year 2025 bring cheers, happiness, luck, prosperity, and all the positivities in this world for my family and for all. Moreover, we should always remember to seek God's guidance in whatever we do. Let us traverse this year with God, and He will not fail us; rather, He will bring us to the righteous path we are ought to take.
That's all for now, Hivers. I hope you've enjoyed reading my blog and, of course, your holidays. Help me reach a bigger audience by upvoting, commenting, and reblogging. Have a great day ahead, everyone. See you in my next blog. Bye bye! 👋💗🌷
