Having someone who help you in times of hardship, is a gift from God.
Hello gorgeous people of Hive, I'm back!
For today's blog, allow me to share my wonderful experience as part of our school's organization, the Bacolod City College Disaster Risk Reduction Management Office - Rescue Emergency Act Controlled Team or also known as BCC DRRMO-REACT.
To be part of an organization is not easy, it takes alot of effort and time to be part of it. You have to spend alot of time to be trained by the people who are proficient in that field to be able to know the atleast the basic life saving skills and on how to do it properly.
Back when i was just an aspirant responder, who was so eager to be part of the said organization. I was once a hesitant person who was naive when it comes to recue thing and in every decision that i make. However, as i heard that this organization possessed the people who are equiped and are willing help those students on how to be equip and to be able to help other people who are in need, then so, I grab the opportunity to be part of it. I swear to myself that no matter how hard the training may be, whether it may include the rapelling that can awaken my fear of heights , i will finish it and be part of BCC DRRMO-REACT .Because I know that at the end of the day, i will benefit from it and will be able to respond people who are in need.
As i entered the organization, i felt so relieved, yes i was relieved with the thought that i won't be able to make it, i might quit or i might regret my decision, but here I am, smiling, helping and serving my school with all the learnings from my training. Along with my fellow responders, we are stronger and tight with our promise to empower people and save lives
Having them by my side makes me feel loved and valued as a part of the organization as well as a person who is learning and growing everyday.
It is really nice to have those kind of people who are willing to correct your mistake in a justifiable way and not to shame you in public. I made friends who are until now with me on my journey as a responder. They are those people who love to empower and save lives. Friends who turned into my family.
I have realized that, we are not just an organization, but a family too. Family who are willing to respond to people in times of need. Family who are one in decision, one in action and one in mission.
This is the last part of my blog for today.
Thank you so much for spending your time reading this!
I hope i entertained you and make you realize that in life, it is not just about ourselves that we need to empower, but others as well
Have a lovely day✨
