Hello,holla,bonjour my lovely reader’s, your melcakes is back with another blog!I will gladly share with you how we celebrate my grandmother's 76th birthday.It is a small celebration but full of loved and joy.Cause I believe that simple things gives bigger impact.
Actually we really don't planned this celebration its because my grandmother's only wish for her birthday is to visit the Sto.Niño Church which is located in Cebu City 3 hours away from our home since my grandma is one of the devoters of Sto.Niño.
But as I grow,I realized that celebrating a birthday is one of the special day for us,so I dont want my grandma missed her special day in which she doesn't experience it in her young age.By the way, this type of birthday celebration is not new to my grandmother.
I promise to my self that I will always celebrate my grandma's birthday and as long as my grandmother is still in our side we will celebrate her special day filled with love and joy.
This birthday celebration won't happened if I didn't push my mother to celebrate it. At that time, I had planned to get my grandma a cake because in my thoughts it would be fine if there wasn't any delicious food on the table as long as she had a cake since then she would feel like it was her birthday. Fortunately, my aunt had already purchased one.
If I didn't encourage my mother to celebrate my grandmother's birthday, it wouldn't happen because my grandma doesn't really have any plans to do.So I suggested that she perhaps reschedule her visit to Sto. Niño in which she agreed.
Me and my cousin was the one who cooked the food,since we still have a pasta for spaghetti we decided to cooked spaghetti and gulaman by the way the english term of gulaman is carrageenan in which it is a filipino dessert.
Our food is adobong chicken, spaghetti,and pancit.The food was so much delicious.Also the design is a last minute decision hahahaah,thankfully i had a balloon in my cabinet that's why we used it and we only recycled the "HAPPY BIRTHDAY"letter heheh.
When everything is done of course we couldn't wait to sang a happy birthday to our grandma and after blowing the candle we already feed the dinasour in our stomach.
Unfortunately my grandmother's daughter is not there since she lived outside the country but she is still there through a video call.Just to let you know, the birthdays of my grandmother's son and daughter falls in january specially my grandfather,only the oldest son of my grandmother was born on august which is after my birthday.Its ridiculous right hahaha.
The day is filled with jokes,laughs and loved.Im sure my grandmother had fun celebrating her birthday.
I little reminder that we should cherish every moment we have with our loved ones because they are the only people we can lean on through ups and downs. Even if everyone judges us, hate us, our loved ones are always there by our side supporting and cheering us.So please find time to spend you time with your love ones.
