On August 24, 2024, I visited my grandparents to spend time with them on a very special day in our lives. It had been a long time since I last visited them, as I only get to see them twice a year due to the distance.
Fortunately, it was also my cousin's birthday, which made me over the moon because I got to attend and celebrate his special day.
They were glad to see me, and seeing my grandparents healthy and strong, along with my cousins, felt like such a blessing to me.
I helped them prepare the food and set up the tables for the visitors. I was thrilled to see my favorite dish, "lumpiang Shanghai," which I never get tired of. Of course, the celebration wouldn't be complete without spaghetti, pancit, fruit salad, adobo, and lechon manok.
We sang "Happy Birthday," prayed to express gratitude for all our blessings, and then started eating. It was such an unforgettable moment to see my loved ones smiling happily while enjoying the meal.
After we ate, we had a karaoke session with relatives from my deceased father's side. I was so happy to talk to my father's friends and learn more about him. We had long conversations that lasted until midnight.
It brought me so much joy to learn more about my father when he was still alive. Even though he is no longer with us, the memories he left behind will always remain alive in the hearts of those who knew him.
Overall, that night was indeed a blast—filled with happiness and blessings. Once again, Merry Christmas to all of you! 🎄⛄. I hope you had a wonderful Christmas in 2024!
