Hello friends !
Welcome to my blog again. I am so happy that you are here. Hope you all are good and enjoying yourself. I am also good and here with my festival experience.
On 13th & 14th march we celebrated our big festival holi. Which is really a very unique festival....When we prepare good dishes and eat it with family and friends, spend time with loved ones and On that day everyone is in a happy and relaxed mood...It is believed that this is the best day to end any fight, sorrow or complaint. We can make a new beginning to every relationship this day or in nut shell a day to renew the relationship....There is a famous saying….Bura na mano holi h (don't feel bad it's Holi)....
Second day all play with colours, flowers and water....when you come with a clean face and ended with a colorful funny face. At many places people enjoyed it together in public spaces, enjoy thandai ( a drink ) and yummy food. There is music along with it and people dance freely...which is the best way to enjoy.
Let's enjoy the glimpse of my Holi festival this year :
Holi is one of my favourite festival....which i used to celebrate with great joy and excitement... before marriage every year these few days were spent very nice....first i helped my mom to cooked delicious dishes and enjoyed it , and than play Holi with my family, neighbours and friends....that was my favourite part ...We used to dance for hours, apply powerd colour to each other and drink thandai.
after marriage Playing Holi had become quite less...but this year I enjoyed holi with my son. He is 3 years old now and was very excited for Holi...For 3-4 days he kept saying, mumma please apply this colour to me...He was very excited to apply all his favorite colors.
So first we went for shopping with him...and tell him to choose his favourite colour and pichkari...
He choose so many colours, I bought it and came home.
Here in our home every year dal vada is made on Diwali and Holi...my grandmother-in-law always makes this...I had shared about it last year and also shared its recipe....But this year because of her leg pain we ( i and my mother-in-law)decided to make own...and first time without my grandmother we made it...And it may not have been as perfect as theirs but they appreciated it .
Here i captured some pictures while making vadas...
All happily enjoyed it with curd garlic chutney.
Than we made many other things...puri, moong , aloo sabji , halwa , frimes and many more things.
After preparing all the dishes in the kitchen, we prepared for the puja and went the temple and performing the puja.
On the next day it was time to play Holi for which i son waited for last 4-5 days eagerly. I put coconut oil to our skins ,So that the color does not harm our skin and we went at garden area and play Holi.
First we put tikka to our god and than put tika to all our elder family members... than i, my husband and son played holi so much....we enjoyed it alot .
To see my son's excitement and happiness i feel so relaxed and after a long time i enjoyed Holi so much....
I was feeling how much time has changed... earlier we used to play Holi as kids and now we are playing for the happiness of the kids....This is another stage of life which I want to enjoy fully.
Hope your holi will also be good 😊.
बहुत बहुत शुभकामनाएं 🎉
