Celebrating the birthday of my princess Camila
Celebrating the birthdays of the little ones at home is, without a doubt, a blessing for our family. This Saturday, we had the joy of celebrating my princess Camila's second birthday. We opted for a simple and familiar celebration, following a tradition we have adopted: a costume party. I explained to her what it consists of, it's not about costumes, it's that each family group brings a snack to share, which fosters an atmosphere of brotherhood and we all support the celebration. In January, our pockets were a little tight, but that was not an impediment for us. The truth is that, when it comes to celebrate, having a united family makes these moments special, to see the collaboration, solidarity, love and dedication in what is available for this celebration to take place, is gratifying, more when it is a family that likes to celebrate 🥳😁, we do the impossible 🥰.
The date was at grandmother Katty's house, located in the community of La Chica, at 5:30 in the afternoon. However, before the party began, the rain made its appearance, dissipating almost at 7:00 pm. Despite the rain, the coolness it left in the air proved to be a good omen for the celebration. Little by little, family members began to arrive, which marked the beginning of an evening full of laughter and good eating, I tell you there were pasapalos demás, that's what we all like 😁. The children enjoyed sodas, while the adults shared stronger drinks. It was heartwarming to see how these little ones spent much of their time playing in the street, reminding us of those days of our childhood. Although mobile devices tend to take us away from reality, but the arrival of the other cousins, revitalized their sense of play and the fun began.
During the evening, between chats and laughter, we relive anecdotes that always come up in our family reunions. We like to tell each other stories, make up jokes and share unique moments. As the evening progressed, we organized ourselves into small groups and then we all met up again, ready to discuss the details of the party. The birthday girl, after a good time of fun, fell asleep in the middle of the hustle and bustle, which allowed us to enjoy a quiet moment. When she woke up, it was the climax: we sang "Happy Birthday". Initially, the children took the lead in the song, we realized that almost at the end, we had not lit the candle 🤭, quickly we activated, in less than nothing the candle was lit, although Camila hesitated to blow it out for fear, all together we encouraged her to do it, so all together we helped her to blow it out, which made the moment even more special.
As we congratulated and hugged her, it was evident that Camila's happiness was the most important thing. Despite her young age, her smile was contagious and full of vitality. In our beloved Venezuela, it is a tradition that, once the birthday is sung, I don't know what happens that everyone leaves, as if they run away by themselves, it is as if someone told them: pumpkin, pumpkin, everyone goes home 😅, it is a tremendous mystery, after a few minutes only the party people are left, we are a little different 🥹, we only leave the place once we are sure that there is nothing left to celebrate 🤭. So we stayed a while longer, enjoying the company and the joy that a family party always brings.
In the end, we were lucky that when we left La Chica, we got a van that took us to Marigüitar, avoiding a long walk. We were tired, but full of rewarding experiences and laughter that we will treasure in our hearts. I aim to continue celebrating birthdays as a family, because, not only do we celebrate the life of a loved one, but we also strengthen our family ties, these moments remind us of the importance of being together, creating memories that last a lifetime, we treasure every laugh, every shared experience, it is what it really means to be family, and a simple birthday becomes a priceless treasure. Festejando el cumpleaños de mi princesa Camila
Celebrar los cumpleaños de los más pequeños de la casa es, sin duda, una bendición para nuestra familia. Este sábado, tuvimos la alegría de festejar el segundo cumpleaños de mi princesa Camila. Optamos por una celebración sencilla y familiar, siguiendo una tradición que hemos adoptado: una fiesta de traje. Le explicó en que consiste, no es de disfraces, es que cada grupo familiar trae algún pasapalo para compartir, lo que fomenta un ambiente de hermandad y todos apoyamos la celebración. El mes de enero, el bolsillo estaba un poco flojo, pero eso no fue un impedimento para nosotros. La verdad es que, cuando se trata de celebrar, contar con una familia unida hace que que estos momentos sean especiales, ver la colaboración, solidaridad, amor y entrega en lo que se dispone para que se lleve a cabo esta celebración, es gratificante, más cuando es una familia que le gusta celebrar 🥳😁, hacemos lo imposible 🥰.
La cita fue en casa de la abuela Katty, ubicada en la comunidad de La Chica, a las 5:30 de la tarde. Sin embargo, antes de que comenzara la fiesta, la lluvia hizo su aparición, disipándose casi a las 7 de la noche. A pesar de la lluvia, el frescor que dejó en el ambiente resultó ser un buen augurio para la celebración. Poco a poco, los familiares comenzaron a llegar, lo que marcó el inicio de una velada llena de risas y buen comer, les digo que hubo pasapalos demás, eso es lo que nos gusta a todos 😁. Los niños disfrutaban de gaseosas, mientras que los adultos compartían bebidas más fuertes. Era reconfortante ver cómo estos pequeños pasaban gran parte del tiempo jugando en la calle, recordándonos aquellos días de nuestra infancia. A pesar de que los dispositivos móviles tienden a alejarnos de la realidad, pero la llegada de los demás primos, revitalizó su sentido de juego y la diversión comenzó.
Durante la noche, entre charlas y risas, revivimos anécdotas que siempre surgen en nuestras reuniones familiares. Nos gusta contarnos historias, inventar chistes y compartir momentos únicos. A medida que avanzaba la noche, nos organizamos en pequeños grupos para luego reencontrarnos todos, listos para comentar sobre los pormenores de la fiesta. La cumpleañera, después de un buen rato de diversión, se quedó dormida en medio del bullicio, lo que nos permitió disfrutar de un momento de tranquilidad. Cuando despertó, fue el momento culminante: cantamos el "Cumpleaños feliz". Inicialmente, los niños tomaron la delantera en la canción, nos dimos cuenta que casi al final, no habíamos encendido la vela 🤭, rápido nos activamos, en menos de nada la vela se encendió, aunque Camila dudaba en apagarla por miedo, todos juntos la animamos a que lo hiciera, así que todos juntos le ayudamos apagarla, lo que hizo que el momento fuera aún más especial.
Mientras la felicitábamos y la abrazábamos, fue evidente que la felicidad de Camila era lo más importante. A pesar de su corta edad, su sonrisa era contagiante y llena de vitalidad. En nuestra querida Venezuela, es tradición que, una vez que se canta el cumpleaños, no se qué pasa que todos se van, como que se corren solitos, es como que alguien les dijera: calabaza, calabaza todo el mundo para su casa 😅, es un misterio tremendo, después de unos minutos solo quedamos los fiesteros, nosotros somos un poco diferentes 🥹, solo abandonamos el lugar una vez que estamos seguros de que no queda nada por celebrar 🤭. Así que permanecimos un rato más, disfrutando de la compañía y la alegría que siempre trae una fiesta familiar.
Al final, corrimos con suerte que al salir de La Chica, conseguimos una camioneta que nos llevó rumbo a Marigüitar, evitando así un largo camino a pie. Estábamos cansados, pero llenos de experiencias gratificante y risas que atesoraremos en nuestros corazones. Me apunto a seguir celebrando, cumpleaños en familia, ya que, no solo celebramos la vida de un ser querido, sino que también reforzamos nuestros lazos familiares, estos momentos nos recuerdan la importancia de estar juntos, creando recuerdos que perduran para toda una vida, atesoramos cada risa, cada vivencia compartida, es lo que realmente significa ser familia, y un simple cumpleaños se convierte en un tesoro invaluable.
