Apreciada comunidad, es un placer par mi publicar por primera vez por acá y compartir con todos ustedes mis vivencias en estos días de carnaval.
Les diré que mi pueblo "El Empedrado" está ubicado en las fronteras entre los Estados Lara y Trujillo, Venezuela, en lo que se conoce como pie de monte andino
Les comento que fui a visitar a mis padres con mi hija, mi esposo y mi hijo se quedaron en la ciudad de Barquisimeto por compromisos adquiridos.
Llegamos el día domingo y nos encontramos que la fiesta carnavalesca había empezado el día anterior, normalmente estas fiestas en el pueblo, se dan durante todo el día y no como en otros pueblos que solo es por las tardes.
Esta tradición se remonta a 30 años a tras y consiste en que muchos habitantes del pueblo y sus adyacencias realizan carrozas con motivos diferentes y se disfrazan de diferentes personajes
La organización y preparación de los mismos se realiza con 2 meses de anticipación , donde la mayoría de habitantes, hombres, mujeres, niños y jóvenes aportan ideas y al final se decide el motivo de la carroza a realizar en esta oportunidad realizaron carrozas con motivo de varias películas.
Después del desfile de cada una de ellas con sus comparsas, se eligen la carroza ganadora, previo se han elegido la reina y su cortejo quienes al final reciben una recompensa económica.
Verdaramente son muy animados, hay presentación de grupos musicales, bailes, muchas personas disfrazadas de forma independiente y como siempre todo compartido en sana paz y amistad.
El martes en avanzadas horas de la noche, oficialmente se dan por concluidas estas agradables fiestas, nosotros nos tocó regresar el día miércoles muy temprano.
Ha sido muy agradable estar en el pueblo, ya nos preparamos para volver a fines de año a compartir en familia y disfrutar lo acogedor de nuestro bello Pueblito.

Dear community, it is a pleasure for me to publish for the first time here and share with you all my experiences in these days of carnival.
I will tell you that my town "El Empedrado" is located on the border between the states of Lara and Trujillo, Venezuela, in what is known as the Andean foothills.
I will tell you that I went to visit my parents with my daughter, my husband and my son stayed in the city of Barquisimeto due to commitments.
We arrived on Sunday and found that the carnival party had started the day before, normally these parties in the village, are given throughout the day and not like in other towns that is only in the evenings.
This tradition goes back 30 years and consists in that many inhabitants of the town and its surroundings make floats with different motifs and dress up as different characters.
The organization and preparation of the same is done 2 months in advance, where most of the inhabitants, men, women, children and young people contribute with ideas and at the end they decide the motif of the float to be made, this time they made floats with the motif of several movies.
After the parade of each one of them with their troupes, the winning float is chosen, previously the queen and her retinue have been chosen, who at the end receive an economic reward.
They are very lively, there are presentations of musical groups, dances, many people disguised independently and as always all shared in peace and friendship.
On Tuesday, late at night, these pleasant festivities are officially over, we had to return very early on Wednesday.
It has been very nice to be in town, and we are preparing to return at the end of the year to share with family and enjoy the coziness of our beautiful Pueblito.

Qué bonitas son las tradiciones. Y es tan importante que todas estas costumbres se transmitan a las nuevas generaciones. Qué bien que hayas podido compartir esos momentos con tu familia.

Que bien es conocer personas de lugares que he visitado... La verdad es que tengo muchos años que no voy a Él Empredado, pero recuerdo que era un pueblo lindo con un increíble clima de montaña. Mi familia paterna es de La Pastora y la materna es de Jabón así que cada vez íbamos unos días aprovechamos de pasear por los pueblos cercanos, de verdad que me alegra que hayas disfrutado de los carnavales de tu pueblo, espero poder visitarlo nuevamente.
