In November last year, I would be traveling to Bali with my wife and kids. It was a family traveling, for a family quality time. Since we stay in Aceh, a province on the tip of Sumatra Island, we went to Medan first for having a flight. Medan is the capital city of North Sumatra Province. I needed to drive for about 8 hours from my home in Aceh to Medan. Before derparting to Bali, we had to stay one day in Medan. And luckily I have a bother who live in Medan, so we stay at his house.
Upon arriving in Medan, we visited Medan Mall Fair where my kids wanted to buy some ice creams. They loved to taste Fountain’s ice creams. They serve the most delicious ice creams since 1988. Fountain is an ice cream rentaurant founded since 1988. It’s a legend ice cream resto. But you knot, Fountain is not only serving ice cream, but also food for launch or dinner such as Nasi Goreng, Mie Goreng, Pempek and many more.

We may look into the glass pots, they are many variants of ice cream in colorful color. As we may see the pots, there are 13 variants of ice creams. My kids ordered vanila and blue mint ice cream.
Here is the look of ice cream she ordered. It was served in a cup with two balls of ice cream. It must be so delicious and tasty. It reminded me when I traveled to Rome a few years ago, I visited Trevi Fountain or (“Fontana di Trevi” in Italian Language), I enjoyed the delicious ice cream there. Many ice cream shops along the street to the Fountain. I am curious, is it may be Trevi Fountain inspired the founder of Ice Cream Fountain in Indonesia to name after it.
We spent a day in Medan for one day before leaving to Bali in the next day. So we took time to visit a mall and enjoyed some culinary there. After my kids enjoying their Fountain’s ice cream, we headed to Es Teler 77 for having lunch.
