What is Christmas??
Christmas is a holiday celebrated on December 25th to honor the birth of Jesus Christ. It's a time for giving, sharing, and spending time with family and friends. People celebrate by decorating their homes, exchanging gifts, and enjoying festive meals. It's also a time for showing love, kindness, and helping those in need.
The Celebration!
On December 24, 2024, my family and I decided to have a simple celebration for Christmas Eve. My aunt contacted me to go to their house because we were going to have a family gathering there, and the food was delicious—there was lechon belly, mixed seafood, shanghai rolls, cake, and more.
After eating, we decided to take family photos, and I was the photographer, so I was holding the phone.
Then, we got to the part where we exchanged gifts. One by one, we gave our presents, and we took pictures. My aunt and uncle gave me a gift from Penshoppe.
We also gave the gift of my grandmother and uncle it's from my sister, so our aunt took us a picture while they are holding it.
I also gave my aunt a gift. Before this, I had asked my cousin to come with me to buy a gift for my aunt. I had planned to give her an alcoholic drink since she had texted me to bring some alcohol. So, I decided to surprise her by buying mojitos and a paper bag. When we got home, she wanted to open it right away, but I didn't allow it because I wanted us to open our gifts together at the right moment.
After the gift exchange and photo-taking, we decided to drink the alcohol, and there were different kinds of drinks in front of me because my aunt really wanted to drink.
Our Christmas Eve celebration was a beautiful blend of love, laughter, and togetherness. It wasn’t about extravagant gifts or lavish parties, but about cherishing the simple moments with family. From enjoying a delicious meal to exchanging thoughtful gifts and making memories with photos, the true spirit of Christmas was alive in our hearts. The surprise gift of mojitos for my aunt added a fun touch to the evening, and the laughter that followed as we enjoyed our drinks together made it even more memorable. This holiday season, let's remember that the best gift we can give is the time and love we share with those we hold dear. Merry Christmas, everyone!
