Hello my dear Hivers! I have mentioned from my last blog update that we had our periodic exam at Feb. 10,2025. But the day before the exam, we had an unexpected adventure with my family.
Unexpected ‘laag’ before the exam
Sunday was supposed to be a day for getting focused and ready, especially with a periodic exam coming up the next day. But life has its way of surprising us, and this time it was an invitation to a family friend's wedding anniversary. At first, we were hesitant because of the fact that exams need full concentration. But eventually, we agreed to attend.
After attending our usual Sunday religious meeting, we headed straight to the venue at Hagnaya Beach Resort and Restaurant. The drive there lifted our spirits, and as soon as we arrived, I couldn’t resist snapping a quick photo to capture the beautiful scenery.
Before entering into the celebration, we decided to take it easy at the resort’s restaurant. We ordered some refreshing juice and light snacks, while enjoying the moment. The fresh air and the tasty food made it a perfect way to start the evening. For a moment, the stress of tomorrow's exam faded as we just enjoyed being in the moment.
Feeling refreshed, we made our way to the main event. The party was lively and filled with excitement. Our friends greeted us with warm smiles, and we caught up with each other chatting. We watched a variety of dance performances that had the whole crowd entertained. It was great to sit back and appreciate the creativity and effort on display.
After programmed dancing celebration ended, it was time to eat. The food was amazing, and sharing stories and laughs with friends made it even better. Moments like that—with good food and meaningful conversations—always feel special.
Before we knew it, it was 9:00 PM. We immediately said our goodbyes and headed home. Reality was waiting—I still had to study for the exam. Back at home, I hit the reviewers again, surprisingly feeling refreshed and motivated.
Sometimes, taking a break is exactly what you need to refocus. I have learned that in order to enjoy, we need to find balance. Cherishing those meaningful moments while staying committed to responsibilities makes everything feel a little more manageable. That night, I reviewed my notes with a renewed sense of purpose, ready to face the exam with determination.

YES I agree sometimes you need or we need to have a break from the usual thing we did especially if it's already brain draining .
Yes, indeed. I have observe ma'am that the more I force myself to accomplish something when I am already drained, the more I lose focus. 🙂
