We had an unexpected "ganap" today, it's so sudden, but that's not enough reason not to do it. Last night my big brother chatted with Mama, asking if we can come today to my niece's school as they have a family day event. No one can come for Piaya, sadly, so it's on us today. We told him that we would come, and so we prepared really early for this event. The plan was we'll head to their house first, then go to the school with my niece Piaya and Queeny as a salimpusa. But some problems occurred that we couldn't do the first plan. ╮(＾▽＾)╭
Here we are at 6:14 a.m. looking for a "lechonan." We had to bring one dish for the kids for their lunch, and we chose grilled chicken for that. Sadly, the grilled chicken in the neighborhood is not fully cooked yet, so we had to go to Andoks. But bad news, they haven't even started grilling the chicken yet, thr worst ever scenario, so we had to go back to our to the first one and just wait for their grilled chicken to be cooked. We waited another 40 minutes for that.
After taking care of some things, we then waited for a van that would take us to our destination. It took 4 minutes, but thankfully we were able to find a van. Our destination is in Gloria. The traveling time took another 20 minutes. If we ride on a Fortland, it will surely take more. Then it's another 2 minutes ride in a tricycle to reach Tambong School, where the event will take place.
We finally arrive at the event venue. But our niece Piaya hasn't arrived yet. Lol. She only arrived when the parade started. And we just met after returning to the school. I thought she would be with her sister Queeny, but she's alone. She said her sister hasn't taken a bath yet, and so she came alone. As I observed her, she looked really sad and always in a daze. I think she's kind of sulking because her Lola couldn't accompany her, and then we didn't even get her at their house, were really sorry, it just that ... sh!t happened! ┐(￣ヘ￣)┌ Aigoooo.
Anyways, we arrived at the venue, and look how well decorated it is with all the colorful banderitas. They also build a big tent in there for everyone. That made the events more exciting for the kids, for sure.
The parade was supposed to start at 7 am, but then because there were a lot of kids who were late, including my niece, lol, it started at 7:40 am. And Mr. Sunny's already in a rage. I can't help but feel sorry for the kids, especially those wearing a full costume.
And here's us, Mama, Piaya, and me. I like Piaya's costume. And she's not sulky in here anymore. I told her I'll buy her a snack of her choice, and so there she is. Happily eating her snacks. She already drank her "palamig," which is a calamansi juice. And here are the other kids, some of her classmates and the kids in different grades.
I'm really happy that I get to attend this family day for my niece. I also attended last year, and today before going home, Piaya told me, "Sa susunod ulit tita." Like, awwwww, she wants us to attend again for the same event. I just can't help but feel happy about it. ＼(^o^)／
This day is really super tiring. It's really hot that's why it doubles the tiredness we felt. We decided to go home at 12:40 pm, seriously, my battery for today already run out and I need to escape the place. It's too crowded in there. Another thing, I jusy learned from Lady, my sister in law that me and Mama's name was called during a raffle draw. I'm suppose to get the electric fan while another appliances for Mama.
Because we are not in there anymore, other people got the prize. Too bad. My niece Piaya also got her name called and was given a prize of 5 kilos of rice. Lucky! But I'm still sad that we didn't get our prize. Huhu. Mama even said before going home that we'll surely never win or something. Which I agreed because we're not really lucky when it comes to a raffle draw. But what's this?
