A special greeting to the HIVE community, today I bring you a noble story about a person who came into my life accidentally, but has become so important to me that we became brothers.
Her name is Beatriz Martinez Diaz, she lives in Havana, and now she is 18 years old, a real woman. Our beautiful story began on September 9, 2019, when I was adapting to the world of Facebook and I inadvertently sent her a friend request, just because her light eyes caught my attention, not three hours passed and she accepted my friend request.
As a good person I wrote to her Messenger thinking that she could answer me, and yes, she answered me and we were talking for a while, she told me that she was studying nursing, at that time she was 15 years old, just out of high school, there we started to trust each other.
Un saludo especial a la comunidad HIVE, hoy les traigo una noble historia sobre una persona que llegó a mi vida accidentalmente, pero se ha convertido en alguien tan importante para mí que nos volvimos hermanos.
Su nombre es Beatriz Martínez Díaz, reside en La Habana, y ahora cuenta con 18 años, toda una mujer. Nuestra hermosa historia comenzó un 9 de septiembre del 2019, cuando yo me estaba adaptando al mundo de Facebook y sin querer le envié la solicitud de amistad, solo porque sus ojos claros me llamaban la atención, no pasaron tres horas y me aceptó la solicitud de amistad.
Como buena persona le escribí a su Messenger pensando que me podía responder, y sí, me respondió y estuvimos un rato hablando, me contó que estudiaba enfermería, en aquella ocasión tenía 15 años, recién salida de la secundaria, ahí nos empezamos a coger confianza.
At the beginning we did not talk much, he told me that he had family here in my province of Pinar del Rio, however, until April he could not come, that end of the year even being far away we shared experiences, we began to talk more often and we realized that our relationship was for a long time.
I always tell her that she is the oldest of my sisters, very pretty, I used to make collages with her photos and mine to show her how important she was to me. That way, a love for her and everything she did was born, showing also an immense admiration for her and a firm respect for her.
She was always telling me that I am the older brother that she does not have, in everything we always give each other support, even if we are farther away than close, I always think that she is by my side. We have a lot of trust, we tell each other everything because being older than her my duty is to guide her on the right path, I have seen her cry, laugh, suffer, scream, and love, that is her greatest feeling.
Al principio no éramos de hablar tanto, me contó que tenía familia aquí en mi provincia de Pinar del Río, sin embargo, hasta abril no podía venir, ese fin de año aun estando lejos compartimos experiencias, empezamos a hablar con más frecuencia y nos dimos cuenta de que lo nuestro si era para mucho tiempo.
Siempre le digo que es la mayor de mis hermanas, muy bonita, yo hacía collages con sus fotos y las mías para mostrarle lo importante que era para mí. De esa forma, nació un amor hacia ella y hacia todo lo que hacía, demostrando además una inmensa admiración a su persona y un firme respeto.
Siempre andaba diciéndome que yo soy el hermano mayor que ella no tiene, en todo siempre nos brindamos apoyo, aunque estemos más lejos que cerca, yo siempre pienso que ella está a mi lado. Nos tenemos mucha confianza, nos lo contamos todo por qué siendo mayor que ella mi deber es guiarla por el buen camino, la he visto, llorar, reírse, sufrir, gritar, y amar, ese es su mayor sentimiento.
The day of my graduation she was not physically by my side, but I felt her close to me, we have even been talking almost 24 hours a day, that is the importance I give to my sister. After the COVID that kept us apart, we were able to see each other in person in April 2022.
I decided to visit Havana for the first time since 2002, besides seeing my father, one of the objectives of my visit was to meet Beatriz, who fortunately for both of us, lived close to my dad. The moment of her arrival on the motorcycle was unforgettable for me, she is not a person who hugs people very much, but my face showed the emotion and admiration I felt when I saw her before my eyes from which tears almost escaped.
I met her house, we walked, we rode the motorcycle, I met her mother who also kept in touch with me and loves me like a son. I can not deny that when I went back to my province and when I passed in front of the entrance to her house I cried a lot, I could tell, I missed her.
El día de mi graduación no estuvo físicamente a mi lado, pero la sentí cerca de mí, incluso hemos estado hablando casi las 24 horas del día, esa es la importancia que le doy a mi hermana. Después de la COVID que nos mantuvo separados, nos pudimos ver en persona en abril del 2022.
Decidí visitar la Habana por primera vez desde 2002, además de ver a mi padre, uno de los objetivos de mi visita era conocer a Beatriz, que para fortuna de ambos, vivía cerca de mi papá. El momento de su llegada en la moto fue inolvidable para mí, ella no es de abrazar mucho a las personas, pero en mi rostro se notaba la emoción y la admiración que me provoco verla ante mis ojos de los cuales casi se me escapan lágrimas.
Conocí su casa, caminamos, paseamos en la moto, conocí a su mamá que también mantenía contacto conmigo y quiere como un hijo. No puedo negar que cuando me fui de regreso para mi provincia y al pasar por el frente de la entrada a su casa lloré mucho, se notaba, yo si la extrañaba.
Our best moment came the day she came to Pinar del Rio to her grandparents' house who had arrived from Mexico, I spent almost half an hour waiting for her at the Parque Marti, until she came down to see me, we agreed to go one night to the restaurant Carol and Ale, there we ate pizza, she had a milkshake and I had a beer, we laughed, we took pictures, my face looked very excited to have someone so wonderful by my side.
Days later, on my birthday, I went to pick her up with a colleague on a tricycle, here we played dominoes with my neighbor for hours despite the lack of electricity. The next day I returned to Havana, but not before spending 15 minutes talking to me, I didn't want her to see me sad, she knew how I felt.
The last time we saw each other was on January 4 of this year, almost by accident, she took me to Carlos III, and we went for a walk around the capital. Since then I have not seen her again, but I have the memory of the last hug we gave each other just before she went home and I went to my dad's house, today I miss her very much.
Thanks to the Hive community for allowing me this opportunity to share my experiences with my sister.
Nuestro mejor momento llegó el día que ella vino a Pinar del Río a casa de sus abuelos que habían llegado de México, estuve casi media hora esperándola en el Parque Martí, hasta que bajo a verme, quedamos de ir una noche al restaurante Carol y Ale, allí comimos pizza, ella se tomó un batido y yo una cerveza, nos reímos, nos tiramos fotos, mi cara se veía muy emocionada al tener a alguien tan maravilloso a mi lado.
Días después, en mi cumpleaños, fuí a buscarla con un colega en un triciclo, aquí jugamos dominó con mi vecina durante horas a pesar de no contar con fluido eléctrico. Al día siguiente regreso a la Habana, no sin antes pasar 15 minutos hablando conmigo, no quería que me viera triste, ella sabía cómo yo me sentía.
La última vez que nos vimos fue el 4 de enero de este año, casi que, por accidente, me llevo a Carlos III, y estuvimos dando una vuelta por la capital. Desde entonces no la he vuelto a ver, pero me queda el recuerdo del último abrazo que nos dimos justo antes de ella seguir para su casa y yo para la casa de mi papá, hoy la extraño mucho.
