Mafia King: Part 7 – The Shipment

A Risky Play

Cillian stood at the edge of the dock, the scent of salt and diesel thick in the air. His contact’s intel had been precise—the shipment was due to arrive at midnight, under the cover of darkness. Sokolov’s men were already here, securing the perimeter with military precision. If Valeria was making a move this bold, whatever was inside that cargo was worth killing for.

He adjusted the earpiece, his voice low. “Positions?”

“We’re set,” came the hushed reply from Liam, his most trusted enforcer. “Four on the north entrance, three patrolling the dock. If we’re gonna do this, we need to move now.”

Cillian exhaled slowly. This was a direct challenge to Valeria, a line he couldn’t uncross.

“On my mark,” he ordered.

His team moved like shadows, slipping through the maze of shipping containers. The goal was simple: intercept the cargo, see what Valeria and Sokolov were smuggling, and get out alive.

Uncovering the Truth

The container was marked with a discreet emblem—a symbol Cillian recognized from his dealings with the Eastern syndicate. Two of his men worked quickly to pry the metal doors open. The moment they did, his breath hitched.

Inside were crates stacked neatly, all bearing the insignia of a private military supplier. Weapons. High-grade, untraceable, and enough to arm a small army.

“Jesus,” Liam muttered. “This isn’t just a power move. She’s gearing up for something huge.”

Cillian’s mind raced. If Valeria was arming herself on this scale, the war Nikolai had warned him about wasn’t just a possibility—it was imminent.

But then, a new horror struck. In the far corner of the container, shackled and blindfolded, were people. Six of them.

Human trafficking.

Cillian felt something in him snap. Weapons were one thing, but this? This was beyond business—it was monstrous. And Valeria knew. She had to.

“We’re shutting this down,” he said, his voice steel. “Get them out. Now.”

The Betrayal

The moment they started moving, the air exploded with gunfire.

Sokolov’s men had found them. Bullets ricocheted off the containers as Cillian’s team fired back. The docks turned into a warzone.

Cillian ducked behind cover, his heart pounding. “Liam, get them to the extraction point!”

“What about you?”

“I’ll handle this.”

He knew who had set him up. Valeria. She had known he would come, had let him get this far, and now she was cutting him loose.

Through the chaos, he spotted a figure watching from the shadows. Valeria. Standing on an overhead walkway, her expression unreadable.

Cillian locked eyes with her. And in that moment, he understood—this had been a test. A test he had just failed.

She raised a hand, gave a small, almost regretful wave, then turned and disappeared into the night.

The Aftermath

Cillian and the survivors barely escaped. But the damage was done. He had declared himself against Valeria, and she had made it clear—he was no longer under her protection.

Now, there was no turning back.

Valeria was preparing for war.

And Cillian?

He was going to bring her empire down.
