Familiarmente hablando, hemos tenido unos días muy movidos pero cargados de amor, sonrisas y buenos momentos. La visita de mi hermano, después de varios años sin vernos, me ha hecho sentir, por momentos, en casa.
Hemos turisteado por ratitos, pero el tiempo más valioso no ha sido cuando conocemos y visitamos nuevos lugares, sino cuando nos reunimos, conversamos y nos volvemos a conocer entre nosotros después del tiempo y las cosas que hemos pasado.
No somos los mismos que éramos cuando nos despedimos, ninguno lo ha sido, pero hemos crecido en el camino y estas nuevas versiones se aman con igual o mayor intensidad.
Sabemos el tiempo que estaremos cerca, pero no el tiempo que estaremos lejos, ni cuando dejaremos de estar. La vida nos ha enseñado, de forma dolorosa, que el presente es lo único que tenemos, es suficiente, bueno y que solo nos queda agradecer, disfrutar y vivir.
Family-wise, we have had a very busy few days, but full of love, smiles and good times. The visit of my brother, after several years without seeing each other, has made me feel, at times, at home.
We have touristed for a while, but the most valuable time has not been when we get to know and visit new places, but when we meet, talk and get to know each other again after the time and things we have been through.
We are not the same as we were when we said goodbye, none of us have been, but we have grown along the way and these new versions love each other with equal or greater intensity.
We know how long we will be close, but not how long we will be far, nor when we will stop being. Life has taught us, in a painful way, that the present is the only thing we have, it is enough, good, and that we only have to be grateful, enjoy and live.
