Boring is not in our vocabulary when we are together. Such days without classes or work should become a time for us to bond and get closer.
Even though I was sick, when I heard my cousin shouting from their house telling me we're going out, I pushed myself from my bed and shouted back that I would go no matter what. It was so fast, I immediately got dressed and put my medication in my bag. It only took me 3 minutes to prepare, and I ran off outside and got inside the waiting car where all of my cousins are inside.
They laughed at me when I went in saying I was sick and should be in bed, but there I am with them, very eager to come and have fun.
We went off immediately because time is running. Of course, like before, the main reason for us going out was to visit a coffee shop, but of course it's not going to happen immediately.
It took us so much time to decide where we would go; apparently all of us are indecisive, so deciding is really hard for all of us. We were already at Mandaue when my cousin, who was driving the car, forgot her driver's license; therefore, we were meant to go back home to take it, but in the middle of going back home, we decided we wanted to try billiards, and my cousin Kenneth has somewhere in mind. We stopped at Braders Hideout in Lilo-an. I think they forgot that I was sick because I kept on yapping inside the car; they only remembered I was sick when we were already inside.
Braders Hideout is a bar; therefore, of course, it cannot be helped to buy liquors in such a place. Though my cousins still care about me, so they bought food and noodles for me. I am thankful, but they literally messed up their order for me; they bought very spicy noodles, so of course, since we don't have any water with us and I don't want to buy water, I did drink the liquor they bought.
I know it was wrong of me to drink since I took my medication earlier, but I was so confident that it would be okay, and I really don't want to be left out. Even my brother, who's not yet of legal age, confidently drank some, though it was okay since I have my older cousins who did not drink and became our guardians.
My cousin, who forgot his driver's license, went home in the middle of our fun at the bar because we really wanted to go and have fun at IT Park. Therefore, while waiting for her, we took our time playing billiards.
Billiards was really hard! The ball would bounce every time I tried to hit it. It seems easy to play it, especially on mobile phones, but in real life, it's not that easy. It took me a lot of time to be able to hit the ball without it bouncing. Still, it was fun and memorable.
After my cousin went back, we immediately left the place and drove to IT Park. It was already 1 AM in the morning when we arrived at IT Park.
We went and used the bathroom for a while since my brother needed to use the bathroom already because he finished our drinks at Braders Hideout before going out from there because he thought that it was such a waste to leave it there.
It was my first time seeing my brother kind of tipsy; I did not know he would be that clingy when tipsy, though; I found it very cute. We stopped a bit to take pictures and also to make TikTok videos for memories.
After a while we went to a newly opened cafe in IT Park called "Coffe Bear." The place is in a mixture of high-contrast colors like orange and blue-green. The place was small, but it was aesthetic and pretty cute. I ordered one of their best coffees, and when we tried it outside, it tasted so bad! It was like what our grandmother would make if we were sick; it tasted like "pinaig.".
It was funnier when my fever came back; they teased me that I should finish the coffee we bought because my grandmother would normally make "pinaig" whenever we had a fever because she believed it would cure our fever.
We laughed so hard together because it tasted really bad, and we shared the same experience about the "pinaig.". After a while we started getting really hungry, so we went to Laylam. We ate there and talked until we realized it was already 3 AM. So we decided that it would be our last stop.
It was so much and memorable that even when we were going home, we were still laughing listening to a story we found on Spotify. I experienced new things on the whole trip, like drinking even though I was sick, playing billiards, and going home at 4 AM with my cousins. The whole trip would always be remembered as a wholesome moment for all of us.
May you have more fun with them in the future.
