Hello! Today my mom and I went out to buy things, nothing productive nor money smart, just things I wanted to get. The expectations were just to have a loose Saturday and eat a burger.
¡Hola! Hoy mi mamá y yo salimos a comprar cosas, nada productivo ni económico, solo cosas que quería conseguir. Las expectativas eran simplemente pasar un sábado relajado y comer una hamburguesa.
Our first stop was in Barujhaba, a store that recibes payment in cryptocurrency via Binance. A bunch of useful but no really relevant things. It was funny. Because that's a store I usually watch only online.
Nuestra primera parada fue en Barujhaba, una tienda que recibe pagos en criptomonedas a través de Binance. Un montón de cosas útiles pero no realmente relevantes. Fue divertido, porque esa es una tienda que normalmente veo sólo en línea.
Next we went to look glasses, because both of us need them, so does my sister. It's crazy how much we need to pay just to be able to see. The prices are kinda high $199 for my mom's and about $100 for mine. We just got the budget since my mom has to go to an ophthalmologist first.
Luego fuimos a buscar lentes, porque ambas los necesitamos y mi hermana también. Es una locura cuánto tenemos que pagar sólo para poder ver. Los precios son un poco altos: $199 para el de mi mamá y alrededor de $100 para el mío. Acabamos de conseguir el presupuesto ya que mi mamá tiene que ir primero al oftalmólogo.

Then we went to eat, some Burgers. This place doesn't receive crypto and they should, because they would bet a whole new set of customers. The we searched for prices to get new phone lines. Also crazy prices but as long as they work everywhere I'm ok.
Luego fuimos a comer, unas Hamburguesas. Este lugar no recibe criptomonedas y deberían hacerlo, porque apostarían a un conjunto completamente nuevo de clientes. Luego buscamos precios para conseguir nuevas líneas telefónicas. También precios disparatados, pero mientras funcionen en todas partes, estoy bien.
Then the best part came: I was taking a photo of my mom with a sign that said Barquisimeto, when at the background I could see "A coffee on the Blockchain" and I had to go ask which blockchain and tell them they better come to Hive.
Luego vino lo mejor: le estaba tomando una foto a mi mamá con un cartel que decía Barquisimeto, cuando al fondo pude ver "Un café en la Blockchain" y tuve que ir a preguntar en qué blockchain y decirles que mejor vengan a Hive
They accept payments via Binance and lightning network, and they heard about Hive, saw us on the Caracas Blockchain Week but didn't quite grasp the concept of we being fully decentralized and feeless.
Well, until today, we talked for an hour or a little more. The owner knows what he's doing and we have what he needs, and their project would be a hit here on Hive. @starkerz I'll need you to ask questions haha.
Aceptan pagos a través de Binance y Lightning Network, escucharon sobre Hive, nos vieron en la Caracas Blockchain Week, pero no entendieron del todo el concepto de que estamos completamente descentralizados y sin fees.
Bueno, hasta hoy hablamos una hora o un poquito más. El propietario sabe lo que está haciendo y tenemos lo que necesita, y su proyecto sería un éxito aquí en Hive. @starkerz te necesitaré para hacer preguntas jaja.
We got a great coffee, it's not just about it being crypto, it was a great coffee that tastes like home but better. I loved that, I hate it with projects related to food that have good marketing and a good economical strategy suck at the flavors. I'm confident cripto is coffee is going places and we are going to those places with them.
Obtuvimos un excelente café, no se trata solo de que sea cripto, fue un excelente café que sabe como en casa pero mejor. Eso me encantó, odio que los proyectos relacionados con la comida que tienen buen marketing y una buena estrategia económica suelen descuidar los sabores. Estoy segura de que Cripto Is Coffee están llegando a lugares y nosotros iremos a esos lugares con ellos.
My mom @jessiencasa was a great Hive seller haha. Her experience here on Hive and being with us at the different events gives her the knowledge to share what she knows that makes Hive awesome and still don't use the forbidden "a platform to post and get paid".
Mi mamá era una gran vendedora de Hive jaja. Su experiencia aquí en Hive y estar con nosotros en los diferentes eventos le da el conocimiento para compartir lo que sabe que hace que Hive sea increíble y aún así no usar la prohibida "plataforma para publicar y recibir pagos".
So, we have on our hands a great project that we never imagined we would find just by wandering around thinking about wasting a few bucks. Opportunities can be everywhere, we just have to be ready to jump and take them.
Así que tenemos entre manos un gran proyecto que nunca imaginamos que encontraríamos con solo deambular pensando en desperdiciar unos cuantos dólares. Las oportunidades pueden estar en todas partes, sólo tenemos que estar preparados para saltar y aprovecharlas.
