It is very necessary to get out of your comfort zone and expose yourself to new emotions, they are where you get to know yourself as a person and get to know many minds that have similarities with you. Minds that most of the times manage to commit you with your lifestyle.
Los recuerdos son todo lo que nos queda una vez que pasa el presente. Es muy necesario salirse de la zona de confort y exponerte a nuevas emociones, son en ellas en donde te conoces a ti como persona y logras conocer a muchas mentes que guardan similitudes contigo. Mentes que la mayoría de veces logran comprometerte con tu estilo de vida.
I have always been very good at selecting the people who make up my personal group of friends, I give a lot of importance to who has my back. So it is common to see me with one or two people in my day to day life. I like to surround myself with them so it's easy to share ideas, see different points of interpretation and realize that everyone has their point of view.
Siempre he sido de seleccionar muy bien a las personas que conforman mi grupo personal de amigos, le doy mucha importancia a quien me cubre las espaldas. Por lo que es habitual verme con una o dos personas en mi día a día. Me gusta rodearme de ellos así es fácil compartir ideas, ver diferentes puntos de interpretación y así darme cuenta que todos tienen su punto de vista.

I strongly believe that when people relate to each other they suffer from giving each other a piece of themselves, leaving them experiences, reflections, memories, sensations.
These photos were taken during COVID, here in Cuba it was a very sad and stressful time. The measures to stay at home and the little interaction kept us all away as a community. The networks alleviated the process but did not always make up for the need to embrace a family member or loved one.

Estas fotos son tomadas en tiempo de COVID, acá en Cuba fue una época muy triste y de mucho estrés. Las medidas de quedarse en casa y la poca interacción nos mantenía alejados a todos como comunidad. Las redes aliviaron el proceso pero no siempre llegaban a suplir la necesidad de abrazar a un familiar o a un ser querido.
It turns out that just starting the pandemic, I was taking one more level of improvement in cooking. I did not know anyone and my close group did not have the same gastronomic inclinations.
This cocktail of indicators made up the adventure that for two years would be my life. I met great dreamers who, like me, were not having such a good time, but the cooking, the laughter and the time together eased the situation a lot, creating a group that was unprecedented for me. We came from all over Cuba, many of us had different backgrounds, shopkeepers, hairdressers, engineers, doctors . In short, no one had anything to do with each other, but this is what triggered the unique team that was formed.
Resulta que recién empezando la pandemia, me encontraba cursando un nivel más de superación en cocina. No conocía a nadie y mi grupo cercano no tiene las mismas inclinaciones a la gastronomía.
Este cóctel de indicadores conformaron la aventura q así por dos años sería mi vida. Conocí a grandes soñadores que como yo la estaban pasando no tan bien, pero la cocina, las risas y el tiempo juntos aliviaron mucho la situación, creando un grupo que no tenía precedentes para mí. Veníamos de todas partes de Cuba, muchos de nosotros teníamos distintas profesiones pasadas, comerciantes, estilistas, ingenieros, médicos . En fin nadie tenía nada que ver el uno con el otro, pero esto fue lo que desencadenó el tan singular equipo que se formó.
We never know when life will surprise you, or with what situation. But my advice is to live every second knowing that only the memory remains, decide for yourself what you want to remember years from now.
Learn to appreciate people who are good listeners, who are interested in what you are talking about, enjoy spending time together, make plans, people like that don't come along every day. Life has taken us down different paths, many are not found in the country.
Nunca sabemos cuándo te sorprenderá la vida, ni con que situación. Pero mi consejo es que vivas cada segundo sabiendo que solo el recuerdo queda, decide por ti que quieres recordar dentro de unos años.
Aprende a apreciar a las personas que muestren ser buen oyentes, que sientan un interes hacia lo que hablas, disfruten el tiempo juntos, hagan planes, personas así no aparecen todos los dias. La vida nos ha llevado por diferentes caminos, muchos no se encuentran en el país.
It has been a while since I last saw you and I wanted to take a moment to remember you.
These days I have been thinking a lot about you, about the moments, about Daniela with her stories, about Miguel with his routine. It has made me think of all of you and how much I value having you as my friends. To have such special people who have always given me their time makes them special.
