Recently back on Hive and immediately started exploring the communities. I had never really delved into them, but there are some gems among them.

Last year my brothers gave me a golf training for my birthday. They have been playing golf for a few years and I never really did. They both thought they didn't see me enough, I was always busy with work. So they thought, if we give him a golf training now, he can go to the golf course with us in the weekend. I thought it was a very smart thing :) So I got my golf certificate and was able to go to the course with them. The great thing is that my oldest son also plays golf, so it's a win-win situation :) Quality time with my brothers and son. As you can read in other posts, I often go to concerts with my youngest son, my oldest doesn't really like that (he likes different music than his father lol) so I like to play golf with him.

My brothers play golf twice a week, that's a bit too much for me. I wouldn't know where I would find the time :) But I do go once or twice a month, and I have to say it's a really fun game but especially fun with the guys.

My employer organizes an annual charity golf tournament. Relations and acquaintances are invited who can buy a flight for an x amount. This year the costs were 1750 euros for a flight for a maximum of 4 people. For that you get a flight on a beautiful 18-hole golf course with a dinner afterwards. The drinks and snacks during the day were also included. I was called by our director if I wanted to come and play golf with my brothers that day, at his expense. We didn't have to think long, of course we wanted to. I just said that my son would come along too lol, luckily that wasn't a problem.

So on the day the four of us went to Ommen.

The weather wasn't supposed to be great, which was a shame, but when we arrived the sun was shining and it never really left.

The golfing itself wasn't great, our scores were far from good, but we had so much fun with the four of us. A really nice day out with my brothers and son.

With regard to the subject of this community, for me family means everything. I think making memories, doing things and seeing each other often is the most important thing in life. (with my brothers and my own family). This is probably due to the problems I had with my parents in the past, with whom I broke off contact years ago, which made me appreciate the bond with my brothers, my wife and my own kids even more. Happiness is in the little things.

I actually couldn't imagine not having contact with my brothers, we're too close for that. Not that we meet for coffee every day or anything, but there's always contact and good contact.

My oldest brother, for example, when we were on holiday last August, I had my birthday during the holiday. As a surprise, he just comes 'to visit' with his wife and children. A big trip for them, but just the idea that he's thinking about it and undertaking it, great.

So in the context of this group, yes....family is the most important thing...

Me and my brothers getting ready for "Toppers in Concert" :) The theme was red and crazy.

Have a great day,

It looks like you had an awesome time, even if the golfing wasn't quite up to "par". You are lucky that your family gets along so well. I know there are a lot of people who don't have that and given your rocky relationship with your parents over the years it is good that the rest of you have been able to remain close!

Absolutely true Bozz, with my parents, I have come to terms with that. A long time ago, it was for me to choose between my own wife and children or my parents. The choice was quickly made for me, I have my own family and decide for myself (and on what conditions) who may be part of it. But my brothers, well, that bond is strong (fortunately). We do a lot together, seek each other out when things are not going well... as it should be.

That is awesome!
