Hola amigos, este es mi primer post en esta comunidad. Mi nombre es Wendy y tengo 26 años. Hoy quiero compartir con ustedes uno de los días más felices de mi vida: el día que me casé con el amor de mi vida. Un día maravilloso para nosotros, lleno de amor y rodeados por nuestros familiares y amigos.
Hello friends, this is my first post in this community. My name is Wendy and I am 26 years old. Today I want to share with you one of the happiest days of my life: the day I married the love of my life. A wonderful day for us, full of love and surrounded by our family and friends.

Como conocí a mi esposo//How I met my husband
Bueno, yo creo que vivo en un cuento de hadas desde que conocí a Daniel (@theoneblog). Lo conocí en 2015, en una cita a ciegas preparada por una amiga que teníamos en común. Fuimos con un grupo de amigos al cine y no a ver una película de amor como estarán pensando, sino una de terror. Al terminar la película, nos dimos cuenta que nuestros amigos nos habían dejado solos en el cine, supongo que con la esperanza de que algo pasara entre nosotros, pero no salió como esperaban, pues tanto Daniel como yo somos muy fan de las películas y un poco tímidos, así que estuvimos todo el tiempo concentrados en la película.
Well, I think I've been living in a fairy tale ever since I met Daniel (@theoneblog). I met him in 2015, on a blind date set up by a mutual friend. We went with a group of friends to the cinema and not to see a love movie as you may be thinking, but a horror one. At the end of the film, we realized that our friends had left us alone in the cinema, I suppose with the hope that something would happen between us, but it did not turn out as expected, because both Daniel and I are great fans of the films and a little shy, so we were focused on the film the whole time.
Luego, todos fuimos a un parque, donde Daniel y yo nos sentamos en un banco aparte a conversar y conocernos un poco mejor. Desde que empezamos a hablar, descubrimos que teníamos muchas cosas en común y me pareció un chico muy especial.
Then we all went to a park, where Daniel and I sat on a separate bench to talk and get to know each other a little better. Since we started talking, we discovered that we had many things in common and I thought he was a very special boy.
Para resumir la historia, nos vimos unas cuantas veces más y decidí empezar una relación con él, pues tenía el presentimiento de que algo muy bonito iba a pasar entre nosotros. Poco a poco me fui enamorado de él, cosa que sólo pensé que pasaba en las películas, por eso digo que vivo en un cuento de hadas, ya que cada día parece que nos amamos más y ya han pasado casi 8 años 😱🥰.
To make a long story short, we saw each other a few more times and I decided to start a relationship with him, because I had the feeling that something very nice was going to happen between us. Little by little I fell in love with him, something that I only thought happened in the movies, that's why I say that I live in a fairy tale, since every day it seems that we love each other more and it's been almost 8 years 😱🥰.
El día de la boda// The wedding day
Me casé con Daniel el 4 de agosto de este año, cómo ven soy prácticamente una recién casada. Hacía ya un tiempo teníamos planes de casarnos pero no lo habíamos hecho porque estábamos ahorrando para el viaje de la luna de miel. Afortunadamente, este año las estrellas se alinearon para nosotros y pudimos casarnos e irnos de luna de miel para Varadero, una de las playas más lindas de Cuba, en la provincia de Matanzas, con increíbles hoteles y muchas cosas para ver y hacer.
I married Daniel on August 4 of this year, as you can see I am practically a newlywed. For some time we had plans to get married but we hadn't because we were saving for the honeymoon trip. Fortunately, this year the stars aligned for us and we were able to get married and go on our honeymoon to Varadero, one of the most beautiful beaches in Cuba, in the province of Matanzas, with incredible hotels and many things to see and do.
Como tal, no fue una boda con invitados y todo lo demás, Daniel y yo somos muy tímidos para ese tipo de atención 😅. En cambio, preferimos algo más simple como ir a firmar y tirarnos unas fotos de estudio.
As such, it was not a wedding with guests and everything else, Daniel and I are very shy for that kind of attention 😅. Instead, we prefer something simpler like going to sign and take some studio photos.
Nos tiramos las fotos con el fotógrafo que trabajaba en el mismo Palacio de Matrimonios donde nos casamos. La oferta constaba de 15 fotos con su álbum más una ampliación, además del alquiler de los trajes de novios. Nuestros familiares estaban ahí apoyándonos y también se aparecieron en una de las fotos. Estaban los padres de Daniel y sus dos hermanas, y por mi parte solo estaba mi mamá ya que mi papá vive en La Habana y no pudo venir y mi hermano estaba trabajando ese día. A la hora de firmar, mi mejor amiga Nayibe (@craterdeluna) fue mi testigo y Juan Miguel, un vecino y muy buen amigo nuestro fue el testigo de Daniel.
We took the photos with the photographer who worked in the same Wedding Palace where we got married. The offer consisted of 15 photos with their album plus an enlarged photo, in addition to the rental of the wedding suits. Our relatives were there supporting us and they also appeared in one of the photos. Daniel's parents and his two sisters were there, and for my part, only my mom was there since my dad lives in Havana and couldn't come and my brother was working that day. At the time of signing, my best friend Nayibe (@craterdeluna) was my witness and Juan Miguel, a neighbor and very good friend of ours, was Daniel's witness.

Luego de la sesión de fotos decidí ir con mi esposo y mi mejor amiga a un restaurante a celebrar la ocasión. Nos fuimos para el restaurante Petit y allí almorzamos.
After the photo session I decided to go with my husband and my best friend to a restaurant to celebrate the occasion. We went to Petit restaurant and had lunch there.
El lugar era muy agradable, con aire acondicionado y música de fondo. La atención fue muy buena y la comida ni hablar, riquísima. Daniel y yo pedimos pizza y Nayibe pidió espaguetis, lo cual acompañamos con unas maltas.
The place was very nice, with air conditioning and background music. The attention was very good and the food, not to mention, delicious. Daniel and I ordered pizza and Nayibe ordered spaghetti, which we accompanied with malts.
Al llegar a la casa también hicimos una pequeña celebración, una cena familiar y de postre el cake de boda que estaba lindísimo y delicioso. Fue un día maravilloso en el que le grité al mundo mi amor por Daniel y uno de los más felices de mi vida.
When we arrived at the house we also had a small celebration, a family dinner and for dessert the wedding cake that was both beautiful and delicious. It was a wonderful day in which I shouted my love for Daniel to the world and one of the happiest of my life.

Tres meses han pasado desde ese día y ya finalmente tengo las tan esperadas fotos de boda. Se demoraron más de lo esperado ya que debido a la situación con el Huracán Ian fue imposibles imprimirlas antes pues no había corriente. Encima de eso, el fotógrafo tuvo que ir a otra provincia a imprimirlas pues la provincia de Pinar del Río, dónde vivo, fue la más afectada por el huracán. Pero ya estoy muy contenta porque ya las tengo conmigo y es un recuerdo que me quedará para siempre.

Three months have passed since that day and I finally have the long-awaited wedding photos. They took longer than expected since due to the situation with Hurricane Ian it was impossible to print them before because there was no power. On top of that, the photographer had to go to another province to print them because the province of Pinar del Río, where I live, was the most affected by the hurricane. But I'm already very happy because I already have them with me and it's a memory that will stay with me forever.
