Sometimes, I wonder if I'm the only one who enjoys the comfort of simple celebration with my loved ones more than being invited to big events with people I barely know. Last Sunday, January 16, my nanay celebrated her birthday. She's my mom's sister and we live close to each other. Her family decided to have a simple celebration this time, some of her daughters and sons who now lives at the City went home to really be there for nanay's birthday. I find it so sweet how despite the distance and their tight schedule, they really put in the effort to went back home and even prepared the foods themselves instead of just ordering in. Isn't that so thoughtful?
The foods and desserts here are not just fuels to the stomach, it's an expression of love, care, and even connection. Everyone contributed in making those and it just shows how genuine they really care. Plus,it tastes absolutely good too! I mean, not good, but REALLY REALLY REALLY DELICIOUS! From the desserts, to the viand,and even the rice! Foods really do tastes better when it's made with love
Look how adorable the kids are! The only boy in the picture actually grew up here in Bogo but is now living in the City, and I just couldn't believe how big he's already gotten. I still remember him in this long, thin, fine hair. His hair was so long before that people often mistaken him for being a cute little girl. Now the two girls on my other side are truly an angel. The one wearing blue is my niece who's very kind and sweet. while the one with the white dress is my second cousin, if I'm not mistaken. Anyway, we really had fun playing during this moment. We laughed so hard that even the other neighbors could hear us.
This was the birthday girl, my nanay Helen, and her husband. Looked at her smiilleee, aren't they precious? She really looks so happy and it makes me happy also. She is a very kind and innocent soul and she truly deserves all the happiness.
Now here's the birthday girl together with her sisters, my mom and my other nanay. They look so cute together even sometimes they don't always get along, but hey! despite that, I can still really feel that they really love and care for each other.
And charaaan!! Here's what I had during my nanay's birthday. It may not seem a lot but I still didn't even get to finish it because I was already full.

it's the kind of joy that huge celebration with strangers can't make me feel. a celebration with loved ones will always gonna be on top
Here, me ＼(^o^)／ I also enjoy simple celebration with my family. Kasi with them I can be more comfortable than when for example we are invited in some big celebration. I feel like I need to be in my best behaviour kasi if ganon, lol.
Anyways belates Happy Birthday to your Nanag. Like she's your second Nanay ano, it's sweet you are close with her too. And it's really sweet when all the foods was prepared at home. Although mapagod but if mas masarap naman and maeenjoy ng celebrant, why not diba (ʘᴗʘ✿).
totoo po talaga, pag invited sa big events dapat maganda yung demeanor tapos parang nakaka pressure, for me lang din naman po kaya mas prefer ko talaga yung small get together lang with fam. and yeeess, my nanay is like my second motheeerr
